My ML got into the moment and rubbed her vagina with my penis, I don't think there was any penetrative sex, but she was wet and she rubbed the upper penile and shaft.

Do I need pep? What is my risk of HIV? How screwed am I?

I asked this same q before to chatgpt.

apparently it's super low so long as both you and the ML got no open wounds or sores.

Your ML should be doing HIV tests routinely if she's based in SG. You can ask her when the last check was for your peace of mind.

Your chance of getting HIV in this scenario is essentially zero. HIV doesn't survive very long out in the open.

If you had penetrative sex, your chance becomes 0.04% per exposure, which is also incredibly low, and it's also harder for the man who's penetrating to contract it.

The bottom line is it's incredibly difficult to contract HIV via vaginal sex, unless you had visible sores and there was a high virus load present, and there was a sustained exchange of vaginal fluids/semen.

You're more likely to contract hpv, herpes, gonorrhea or chlamydia, (in that order of likelihood) from the external rubbing. Again, it would be difficult to contract these STI's like you described, but not impossible - hpv and herpes very easy to get. Most people probably already have it.

Anyway probably don't have HIV. You don't need PEP (DSC wouldn't even prescribe it to you if you told them about this). You can always consider getting PrEP for future peace of mind. Can get in Bangkok very cheaply at the Red Cross AIDS Research Centre within an 1.5hrs (registration, test results, consultation). Costs around SGD40 for everything including 60 tablets.

Thanks for the assurance and advice. I was considering PEP / PReP before but the side effects on kidney and bone density scares me. I have always been careful but this is the first time I had an ML take the initiative on rubbing so I am scared out of my mind.

If vagina sits on penis, the hiv is not exposed to air. And it is direct vaginal fluid to foreskin, where there is mucous membrane where hiv can enter

Thanks all for the advice. Since I didn't get PEP, the only thing I can do now is test in 1-2 weeks time.

I spoke to a doctor regarding this exact scenario 2 years ago, including brief penetrations of the penis tip. He said its incredibly unlikely, and there needs to be a sustained exchange of fluids within a warm environment like deep inside the vagina, and not external contact like sumata. It's incredibly difficult to contract hiv like this. I was denied pep in this case fyi. Bro should not worry, you'll be fine. Go test at Action For AIDS. You can get free testing done, test after 15 days with the gen 4 kit. Can book online. They operate out from DSC clinic. I just got my test done on Tuesday, negative.
