View Full Version : Condom slipped off after ejaculation, risk of HIV?

Incident happened yesterday, while ejaculating, I thrusted a few strokes then when I pulled out the condom was stuck in FL from dome 1. The condom holds all the ejaculation no spillage as I recall. But of course I am not sure if my penis was in contact with the FL's vagina. Wanted to take PEP in the morning but the medical centre i went to said they dont have PEP anymore even though their website clearly states they have. Planning to wait until DSC opens on Monday, which is 63h from time of exposure, still within the 72h.
I am dead scared right now. Ik that the best advice will come from a doctor but may I check if bros here have any opinions? Whether is it better to bite the cost and go PEP tomorrow at private clinic, or wait until DSC open, or the risk is too low to consider PEP?
To.

Just an update on the journey, went to public hospital A&E, got 5 days of PEP for HIV. Doctor said it was very low risk so I can go without PEP. However, to play it safe, better to get. All in all, waiting was less than 1h, saw doc and collect medicine everything took around 2h.
Best was the cost of everything less than 300. However, is not the full dosage so have to come back and consult infectious disease doctor. Will update when that time comes.
Please up my points if this helps. Tq

yea, one can visit the ED to get a 5-day PEP course during the weekend or after DSC office hour ....he/she can then go to DCS to do the full course.
however do note that the 5 days course wont help you much in protecting you from getting HIV, you need to complete the full 28 days course for it to be effective..

Tq for the tip, will make sure to complete the course.
I am actually considering taking PREP and other preventive measures for other STDs since the cost is surprisingly cheaper than expected at gov hospital compared to private. Will update here.

Tq for slapping some sense into me. Did more research and realised I wasn't prescribed Doxy PEP, went to DSC in the morning and got it. Overall took about less than an hour walk-in. Still within the 72h.

How old are you? Older guys start to soften faster after ejaculating. Next time pull out faster. Once your cock soften, easier for the condom to slip off. Easier for the condom to remain stuck in pussy.
Are you wearing the right sized condom? Durex what brand? Maybe can get a smaller diameter condom. Durex does a good job marketing smaller condoms as extra thin, close fit etc. Imagine buying smaller condoms from 7-11 and the box says (Mini-me or extra cute). Nabei :D
Go check out the sizes

When you go A&E, what do you tell the counter?
or tell the counter it is a private problem, only tell the doctor?
because I remember need to register first, then see the nurse, check blood pressure, then only got chance to see doctor.
Wish you well, must be very stressful

30+, tq for the tips. I used the okamoto 0.01 but it was stupid of me to continue thrusting. Because I took less than 1 min before ejaculating so wanted to thrust somemore. Old already cannot perform

I walked to them and told them I need HIV PEP. They were very understanding. I believe they are professionals so just be frank with them, and they are very clear that your statements will not be given to anyone else. Tq for the well wishes. I did what I could for now, so waiting on to do further tests to be cleared.

Update, stocking up of the remaining 23 doses of HIV PEP, and a round of antibiotics for chlamydia as prevention around $200, doctor recommended PCR test for gonorrhea but it was expensive around 300. Checked with DSC and it was much cheaper, though DSC need to wait 2 weeks to test as clinic is fully booked. However, doctor said no symptoms as of now.
Overall cost comparison, HIV PEP is cheaper in hospital than DSC, but STD tests DSC is cheaper. If anyone is in a similar situation, can try this journey
1. Go A&E tell them what happened, ask for HIV and DOXY PEP, then after dosage completed go back to hospital to get the remaining pills.
2. Continue with an appointment at DSC, ask them to schedule all the necessary tests.
Based on my experience, this should be the most cost effective method.
HIV PREP is also cheaper at DSC, but I think JB should be cheaper.
Good luck all and I hope this never happens to you. Condom is not fail proof. This episode made me realise the importance of vaccinations and PEP. If you guys haven't, do consider as it will make you sleep better at night. Trust me.
