Saw a few shops advertising “Taiwanese”, “Hong Kong”, "Singapore" ladies. I remember even seeing "Japanese".
Most of the time the accent, look and conversation don’t match. All PRCs. Those claim to be SGP are probably PRCs holding PR status through "marriages". It gives the impression the shop is just using those labels to attract customers. I would feel cheated if I looked fwd to a Taiwanese only to find another PRC.
Anyone here actually encountered a genuine one (proper accent, can speak the language naturally, not just a few memorised phrases)?
Or is it safe to assume 99%+ of these nationality claims are just shop talk?
Curious what others’ experience is. Don’t want to sound like I’m accusing every shop, just want to know if the real ones even exist in SG or if it’s mostly packaging.

I think its safe to say they are all PRC. Some times they spend 1-2 years in that country and will claim to be from there.

If u want the authentic product, best to go that country try. I’ve done it in Taiwan and HK. Taiwan is recommended for the higher grade of service than HK. Haven’t tried Jap yet.

So far those I’ve encountered here claiming to be TW or JP turned out to be PRC
Like you said, a bit cheated cos of the expectation mismatch
I have no problem with PRC at all like my all time favorite is Chloe but she RTC already
It’s when I go expecting A and get B
Even for HK, sometimes they mean they worked in hk before and their Cantonese cmi
Luckily I found one Cantonese quite like hk though from guangdong
Remind me of past hk experiences
