The report was probably written as form of sabotage. If you look at the list of shops, the shops highlighted are mainly shops run by PRCs / other races. There is no mention of shops run by Singaporeans. Now I'm not saying that these local shops are culpable as well, but what are the chances of having such intimate knowledge about what each of the alleged shops does? The whole of Adelphi is quite big.

There are 4 possibilities as to how this listing could have come about:
1. The writer is very rich and bo lia, and has gone to every shop.
2. The angry writer relies on pure guesswork, in which case the shop owners could sue for slander.
3. The tenants in Adelphi are pissed off with seeing women go around the building half naked.
4. The writer is a jealous and vicious competitor.

I am persuaded by the fourth possibility. If you look carefully at the list, there is one more shop that has been left out :Exlim Saloon. This shop is on level 2, tucked right in a corner so you will miss it if you don't scan the place hard enough. This shop is run by a PRC who offers the whole gamut of services. But I have noticed the shop has been quiet for some time, so business is affected.

I know many of these PRC women are jealous of each other, and it's not beyond them to use the media to kill off their adversaries.

Your 4 possibilities are possible, though I think (1) and (2) are unlikely.

One needs to fork out at least 1K if he tries all the shops. Sounds strange and bo-lia to me if one spends 1K just to write that report (very exp report !)

(3) and (4) are more likely and I agree with you (4) is more possible, although I think (3) also has a high chance

For (3), maybe some tenants or some other people want to rent that place but no available unit. One way is to do something like this to shut down a few joints and he can take up the vacant ones.

(4) seems to be the most likely ones as there are too many joints in that place alone. In bad times like this, don't think there could be enough business to sustain everyone.

Hence for those who get jealous on the popular ones, they must sabo those popular ones and they take can their own precaution first, before informing the reporters or worst, mata.

So it seems an ongoing war is raging amongst them already, and if that lady's shop is one of the unlucky ones mentioned, guess who has drawn first blood. the more real possibility is someone who really thinks hes morally upright and is appalled, when shopping for high end audio, to find all these shops. Registers account at SBF and finds out that a number of them have FRs here, and decides to complain to matah. after all pple complain about anything and everything nowadays, why not someone who is uptight and believe that it's horrible that a place so near supreme court got such trash?

personally i think its too high risk to visit any there, even though i been meaning to try one or two.. if caught there i suspect judgment will be even harsher mainly becos it IS near the courts and youre rubbing the law in the face by getting ur dick rubbed right under their nose...!

The photo of the shop appeared on the "sin ming" paper looks familiar. I tink I have been to this shop b4 abt a couple of mths back but was turned away during then becos all e gers & rooms were taken. Heard from my frens that tis shop is very happening & needs advance booking. As far I could remembered, the shop name is something like...."1 Spa" or something else. It is located very near to the toilets. Perhaps any kind bros wld like to share the charges there if you had explored tis shop ;)

All these hype about illegal joints are affecting the business of legitimate and legal ones.

It is also quite sad that many people are misled and not being able to differentiate between massage parlours and sex joints.

Reporters made it worst (or for the better of them to up sales) to label these illegal joints as sexual massage parlours to sensationalise the stories.

And we also have sillyporeans who made it worst by writing to the forum before differentiating the legal and illegal ones.

Anyway, there is a reason why these silly people are call sillyporeans.

It is also highly suspicious why only Fortune Centre, Bencoolen and Adelphi are mentioned, when places like Pearl Centre, Parklane and MacPherson are the other hot places being featured, noting that Pearl Centre is just across the Central Police Station.

What is their main agenda?
