i think that is not much you can do.
Everyone has a past, maybe the girl has its motive, or maybe she say turned good, maybe your friend knows, maybe he think its better to be kept in the dark, so many "maybe's".
When i go to Ktvs or FL, seldom call local babes as there is a higher possiblity that we may bump into each other. Thats why i usually hit on others.
Most of the local girls will also get afraid to hit on local guys as they might hit into you when with their bfs.
Personally i have bump into quite a numbers alrdy, some even got married with kids when i knew them during their havoc period. :rolleyes:

My advise is since you claim not to know the guy well, then there's nothing to prove to him, so just ignore it, then everyone will be fine ;)

I have a friend. He just got into a relationship with a local fl whom I met before. I saw their pictures and status update from facebook. Although we are not really close friends but I still find it weird. I think it will be really awkward if they are out together and we bump into each another. Anyone in that kind of situation before?

1st question: what do you mean "met" before?
have you at any time in the past patronised the services of this lady in question?

everyone has the tendency to listen to the same sex advice esp when it comes to this type of issue.

i believe if the same thing happen to us, we will choose to believe the guy friend then trust the lady even though the guy might just be a so-so friend (esp when the gf is a new gf)

Well, I had done the deed with the fl. Not sure if she is still doing fl cos we din contact each other for months. Im not going to say anything. They have their own lives. Im now pretending I duno anything. Just never expected this to happn and wondering if anyone here had the same experience, thats all.

Yes I came across a similar experience as you.

Did her last year. And during one of my ntu dinner session, my friend brought a girl along and introed her to we group of friends mid of this year. When I saw her, I was thinking where have I met her before. She too gave me that look. After sitting around for like 5 mins, I recognised her voice and tone and immediately remembered her. I was shocked to a certain extent but kept mum. she looked at me afew times and I nodded to her too. But I guess she is really a nice girl and so I chose to keep quiet. Even signalled a zip across my lips to her when my friends were not looking.

Was glad I didn't kiss tell cos I later heard from my friend (the bf) that they are actually good friends since sec sch and she quite poor thing. Since young, had to study and work part time to take care of her uni fees, allowances and home expenses cos no father. Hear liao quite disheartening and sad.... Told my friend to take good care of her!

The next time we all had a dinner session and I met her, she sat beside me and thanked me discreetly for keeping mum about her past. Now whenever we meet up, she will be very nice to me but as a friend only ah..

They all have the rights to have a 2nd chance. And we should give it to them. Unlike some selfish bastards who pay for sex and condemn the girl they paid for good.

Bro tonberry, years ago i met my ex-colleague's gf at a company function. My manager, a typical hum sup uncle who was my cheonging mentor at that time, told me that he tried that colleague's gf from an escort agency. He was wondering whether to speak to my colleague about it. I told him to respect people's privacy and mind our own business.

Month's later, that ex-colleague who is an aussie PR decided that sg is just too hectic for him and resigned to return to australia. One day, i received an email from this ex-colleague sharing his wedding photos with that gf who was a social escort. They seem happily settled in australia and from what i heard the girl is pregnant with his baby.

I suppose we did the right thing to shut our big mouths at that time and as rare as it is, happy endings do happen occasionally.

Not all guys behave like man. I have at least 2 guy friends who confronted their gf over things that I told them in strict confidence.
