hey guys, i just came back from Tg Bailai and thot i should share info with other brothers here about my virgin trip to tb. I was there from Sat and came back to SG on Tue. I'm repeating some advice to take note of, and my experience there for the sake of both new and senior brothers here, so here goes:

note: buying ferry tix. 30min before departure, tix system will close, so aim 45min before departure. Its $43, cash ONLY, no credit. For return tix, you do not have to specify when yr returning, just exchange for a boarding pass when yr ready to return so its quite flexible (see end of this posting)

note: make sure u board the right boat! don't be kuku like me follow the crowd thru the ferry gate and into the wrong boat! luckily i realized it one min before it sailed. :eek:

Got to know this old Indian guy on-board, decided to tag along on his pre-arranged hotel and driver and to shield me as I walked the gauntlet through the customs jetty. (i tried calling and sms-ing kofa but no responses at all, i wonder why)

Stayed at Padi Mas, about 34 per night i think. Nothing much there except a supermarket. The in-house massage is on the 7th floor and does in-room massage as well. I'm not sure if these massage gals who visit yr room does extra service or not, i didnt ask. Any bros know?

Went to Rokku and got the only decent Chinese gal i could find. Yeah i know some bros will be raising their eyebrows at this. Are there even Chinese girls in tb? (yes BUT very very very very limited numbers) Are they any good? (mine was a very bad experience, describe later) Are they expensive? (Hell yeah i paid through my nose i think, given my understanding of the 'market rate') Is it worth it? (I would say no. I decided to go for the Chinese gal because it was my first time, and I guess I wanted to see if this could be a good place to get Chinese girls as well. Apparently not. Before 1st FJ was the only time she was nice, when she initated it but asked to go buy phone card after tat (bros, this should be a red flag, you have no obligation to say yes. it cost me 110k for just the phone card damnit) at that time i thot fine, how much does a phone card cost anyway but she not only got the phone card, but did more shopping at the supermarket, i totally felt ripped off. The FJ was alittle turn off as well since there wasnt no bj, catbath, nothing and she kinda just laid there and not willing to play along much. And after the 2nd FJ when we were going for dinner, she kept saying she didnt want to go and wanted to stay in the hotel and have a hotel massage in the room. Erm.. no way i'm paying, so i said no lah, go for dinner lah. Her attitude worsened and showed a black face till next day. Argh.

Post day 1 note: I've read that you can call up the papi and complain and get a new gal but 1) by the time i got really mad, it was evening already (yes i was willing to accomodate but the massage request and bad attitude was the last straw) 2) none of the other gals in the same house caught my eye and i didnt want to trade in for less, since this one's asset is her looks and tightness. 3) I decided I'm here to enjoy myself so i'll take my bet again tomorrow.

Day 2 gal. Decided to boycott Rokku today and went straight to villa. Found a pretty lass at house 19 i think, quite friendly and speaks basic english. A world of difference compared to the Day 1 gal. She's malay also from Kalimantan, has a small tattoo under her lips, on a 6 mth renewal contract, been working on and off for 4 yrs now. Passionate during the session, excellent bbbj, ar, with CFM eyes, liked it alot, almost cumm a couple of times but i wanted to hang on as long as I could to see what else she has up her sleeves. Seems like it got too long for her (half an hr?) then she stopped the session asking why haven cum yet? (tat was quite a turn off esp since i was nearing to shooting) But i must do justice to her, she's got really good FJ skills and can communicate quite well, just not the endurance part. Also she didnt like me touching her too much and also when sleeping. But a much better experience than Day 1.

Not sure if that's true, wondering if any bros can shed more light here?

Day 3. Decided to change hotel to Maxillion just for the heck of it and a change of scenary. Maxillion is in the middle of town so lots of things to see if you walk out of the hotel. i'm the adventurous type on foot so it suited me better. However you might want to avoid 6th or 5th floor because the 7th floor is the Karaoke (heard its the most popular around) and it gets very noisy until late. Check out the sun deck at the Karaoke, really nice views of the ocean. Oh and there's a money changer to the left 50m from hotel, near the T junction. Hotel Gabion next door seems like a good place as well. Hotel Palapa, Rasa Sayang etc all within walking distance of each other and has small eating places and massage palours. Jetty is abt 5-10min away by wheels.

Day 3 gal. Also from villa but at a diff house. Her looks are ok only but since the papi kept recommending her when i told him i want someone who's horny, gives lots of GFE, and has good endurance, I went for her. She's also a malay. At the house she looked abit aloof and i told myself ok if she's still aloof when in the hotel, i'll request to change her. Apparently there was no need to do that. We did have a communication problem (me chinese/english/hokkien, she melayu only) but her attitude and service was superb. In hokkien, is no-horse-run ah! Treats u like bf, polite and accomodating. During FJ she was naturally wet and can see the mutual enjoyment. Best of the 3 so far!

note: To get back to spore, prepare 5k to confirm yr return tix and 10k for customs immigration. The hotel usually can help you confirm your return tix, just have to pay them 10k in all to confirm the return tix, so all you have to do is go to ferry with 10k for the customs charge.

notes: i guess it helps if you know what you want in advance so that the papi can select based on your expectations. it also helps if the girl likes you too, so for me i would ask the papi to ask the girl if she's comfortable with me as customer, if not i'm also fine with that. (no point if the gal is not willing)

my criteria (just sharing here):
1) Good service and attitude. Gal can leave and change with other gals anytime but dont give me sh** as a customer.
2) Sexual endurance, horny and likes touching and hugging with lots of GFE
3) if going to ask me to buy stuff, food and basic necessities are acceptable but dont ask me buy things like phone cards etc.
4) Looks - erm this one up to my brother to decide. Haha.

others:

Even miss the traditional urut massages , makan seafood at A1 and Nagoya food court and the simple pleasures like the hair saloons , go for hair wash and then urut kepala forgot wat they call it la but use the avocado cream then they urut until got headache oso all gone la. I had a regular taxi guy and he charges S$20 for 1 day service transport. Don't mind how many trips we use his transport. Its more like a friend to me. Its been 1 year since I been there, not sure how much have changed. At least I know that the casino is closed many moons back.
Taxi guy had brought me to Holliwood, Queen, Rio Rita and a few others. Not too bad, and dont expect to have great looking ceweks, just acceptable lah.

Forbidden pleasures of the Karimun Islands

Pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and a place known for eco-tourism. An ideal holiday destination? Not quite, as SIM BAK HENG finds out on a visit to the Indonesian Karimun Islands.

LOCATED off southern Sumatra, the Karimun Islands attract hordes of Malaysian and Singaporean men. The reason: cheap sex.

The staging point of this booming flesh trade is Tanjung Balai, the capital of the Karimun pro- vince, which is a mere one-hour ferry ride from the Kukup jetty in Pontian, Johor.

Upon arrival, touts besiege the visitors with offers of exclusive "sex holiday packages", where the men get to pick and choose the girls to fulfil their sexual fantasies.

The visitors do this in Villa Kapleng and Kampung Paya Labu in Tanjung Balai or Batu 16 in Tanjung Batu, where the girls are housed.


In front of every house hangs a signboard, which reads: "Kondom Wajib Di Daerah Ini" (Condom is a must in this area).

Here, girls as young as 15 readily show off their assets as the men come a-calling. Scantily dressed and heavily dolled up, the girls parade in suggestive poses before the men in the double-storey wooden terrace houses.

Some even engage in naughty conversations or act "nastily" with their prospective customers in a bid to secure a booking.

The women are introduced by their "puppy" or pimp, who is usually an Indonesian Chinese or Javanese.

"Cewek sini bersih. Lu pilih la. Tak bagus boleh ganti" (Our girls here are clean. Just make your choice. If not satisfied, you can get a replacement)," said a pimp.

The pimps know the talents of each of their girls very well too, describing their individual pro- wess under the sheets.

The girls are mainly from Java or Kalimantan in Borneo. Most of them were lured to the province with the promise of well-paying jobs.

But upon arrival, the pimps take control of their lives by luring them into prostitution to repay debts incurred for the flight tickets and hotel accommodation.

Left penniless, and far away from home, their only way out is to sell their bodies to clear their debts.

Malaysians and Singaporeans make a beeline to the islands every day, especially during weekends and public holidays. There is an hourly ferry service from Kukup.

Statistics from the Karimun Tourism office showed that 94,442 Malaysians and 98,711 Singaporeans visited the island pro- vince last year, representing 99 per cent of total tourist arrivals.

And, virtually all of these visitors go there with only one thing on their minds — sex — although a small number also visit relatives or conduct business.

The geo-political advantage of Karimun explains why the island province is such an attraction for men.

Social unrest in southern Thailand has forced many men to forget about Hadyai and Golok, while the preference to trade in the Singapore dollar in Batam and Bintan Islands has made them less attractive.

The proximity of Tanjung Balai, just an hour from Kukup, has also made it an attractive proposition to these visitors.

And, of course, the girls here come cheap.

For as little as 230,000 rupiah (RM93), one can enjoy the services of a girl for 24 hours. But the charges can double on weekends and public holidays, depending on demand.

Even virgins and pregnant women are available.

Villa Kapleng is often the preferred choice of customers as it is a mere 3km from Tanjung Balai, while Kampung Paya Labu is 13km away.

Some 1,500 prostitutes work in these two settlements.

The men get to pick the girls the moment they arrive in the first ferry from Kukup at 8.30am.

Once the selection is made, the girls escort the men to hotels in Tanjung Balai town, where they offer their services.

Weekday customers are mainly retirees while the weekend customers are a mix of both the young and the old. Most of them are retired businessmen, farmers, fishermen and Malaysians working in Singapore.

Usually, those who want to spend a weekend will board the first two ferries on Saturday morning and return the next morning.

They usually travel to the Karimun Islands in groups of three or four people although there are individual travellers, who are mainly old-timers.

A tour agent in Pontian, identified as Hazib, said he used to take tourists to the islands before but these days, most preferred to travel on their own.

A frequent visitor to the islands, Hazib, in his 60s, said he went to Tanjung Balai at least twice a month just to "release tension".

He usually goes with two close friends, all from Batu Pahat.

"The pimps will call me when there are new girls. I will take the first ferry to go there the next day," he said.

Another visitor, a retired businessman, said he would usually tell his family that he had overnight mahjong sessions outstation.

"My friends and I usually go there in the morning and return the next morning.

"As we are childhood friends, we usually gang up to lie in case our wives call us to know our whereabouts.

"Last time, we used to go to Hadyai very often. But the 12-hour bus trip is tiring and is not worth the effort. We heard about Tanjung Balai two years ago and since then, it has been our secret paradise.

"The girls are fantastic. Their service is excellent. More importantly, their service is cheap."

The Karimun Islands are also known for traditional massage and foot reflexology. The service is especially popular in Jalan Pramuka.

Again, customers can choose their masseurs from a photo album. But often, this is offered as a value-added service to men looking for sex.

Apart from the sex trade, the Karimun Islands have very little to offer by way of tourist attractions.

Most islanders work as farmers or fishermen. Because of low wages, many opt to work in Malaysia, often illegally.

Tricked into selling her body

YANTI, 18, worked as a factory operator in Jogjakarta and earned 488,000 rupiah (RM200) a month last year.

Through a middleman who promised her a well-paying job in a restaurant in Tanjung Balai, she flew to Batam and then took a ferry to Tanjung Balai.

Her troubles started the moment she landed.

"They arranged for me to stay in a hotel. I felt great as it was my first time in a hotel.

"My nightmare began on the second day when I found out that the man who picked me up was not the restaurant boss but a pimp.

"He demanded that I sell my body for three months to pay back the flight, ferry and hotel costs.

"He had many burly-looking men with him. I was scared for my safety. I had no choice but to become a prostitute".

With no prospects of a better future, Yanti is now stuck in the flesh trade on the remote island.

She has lost count of the number of men she has slept with over the past 15 months.

"My customers come in all size and shapes. Some are as young as 20, while others are in their 70s. But I prefer older men as they are gentle and kind. Those in their 20s and 30s are the worst," she said.

Yanti, who has no relatives in Tanjung Balai, returns home once a year for Hari Raya.

"My aim is to earn as much money as possible and go back to my hometown and open a fashion shop one day."

Yanti is among hundreds of women being lured into the profession by Indonesian syndicates every year.

"My boss is treating me good. He takes us to the Pongkar Waterfall every Thursday."

However, the outing is not for fun.

"We go there to cleanse our body and ensure that it is free from any diseases," she said.

Masseur Susanna, 23, serves up to seven men a day despite her small and petite frame.

"Takde masalah, bang! Semua pelanggan saya pun bukan betul-betul nak urut." (It’s an easy job! Anyway, my clients are not really interested in massage.)

Susanna admitted that she also offered sex to supplement her income as a masseur, for which she is only paid 20,000 rupiah (RM8.20) per customer.

Massage parlours dot every part of the island but most of them can be found along Jalan Pramuka.

There are easily more than 100 masseurs in this island town.

Islanders depend on shady activities

DRIVING taxis and selling jamu (traditional tonic) are among the few decent jobs on Karimun Islands, which largely depend on sex tourism to drive its economy.

Other Indonesian businesses which bank on the tourist dollar are bak kut teh (pork rib soup) and mutton soup sellers.

The hearty soups sell well as frequent visitors seek to replenish their energy after their "activities" here.

Hundreds of taxi drivers and motorcyclists can be seen at the Tanjung Balai ferry terminal picking up customers from the time the first ferry arrives at 8.30am until the last one at 7pm.

There are no fixed taxi fares here. When the driver says 20 for a ride, one has to ask whether it is 20,000 rupiah, RM20, S$20 or US$20.

A taxi driver, who only wanted to be known as Boy, said he owed his survival to tourists.

He has many regular customers from Malaysia and Singapore, who phone him upon arrival.

"Usually, they will ask me to send them to a hotel first before proceeding to prostitute settlements.

"I remember an encounter two years ago when four wheelchair- bound guys from Singapore chartered my taxi to look for women. It was quite troublesome to cater to them, but they tipped me well."

Another taxi driver, Mahmood, said almost all visitors he picked up from the ferry terminal wanted women for sex.

"Without them, our business will fold up," he admitted.

At the terminal, it is common to see middle-aged women peddling jamu drinks.

Different powdered tonics are used for different needs, such as for strengthening the body, regulating urination and enhancing the appetite.

The tonics are usually mixed with telor kampung (free-range chicken eggs), ginger and herbal juice to deliver a power-packed drink at 6,000 rupiah (RM2.40) a glass.

An advise for those bro if plan to go indo for a fuck. i advise u all to go balai than to batam. Balai will be safer. they seldom have robberys. at least the police dun go up hotel rm to check whether u got any cewek in ur rm or not. In batam, 3 week ago 3 singaporean got caught with cewek in their hotel rm. They was locked up in the police station for 2 nite. They got no choice but to talk terms with the police. After negotiation they agree to pay RP15juta ($3k) each to the police. Then they ask their friend from s'pore to bring the cash over to batam. In balai, the ktvs, pubs & massage joint are open. The disco is close for a mth until the fasting is over. if bro here need any info abt balai, can PM me.

They've been saying this since they close shop 2 years ago. Even my mom, who frequent Batam casino trips years back have given up hope on all these rumours.

Casino is definitely a NO NO for this current Indo government, unless they repackage it to ala like SG's plan of one-stop entertainment theme park/resort. But that'll be a lot time more to go, cos on hand the most important thing the government needa handle is poverty, inflation, and building investors' confidence.

2 yrs liao since i stepped into batam. now was like a dead town. i dont know was it bcos of the puasa but my guess was the casinos are no longer there. was good to be back to batam and eat my fav food.

05 oct 2006, 1505hrs:
the day before my batam trip, i was activated 2ntm by my bacarrat kakis and packed my barang and rushed to my leisure world cruise. it's been a long time too since my last visit.

the sea was rough but i managed to tahan the seasick. from tanah merah terminal to go to my cruise i had to transfer ferry at nongsa jetty. the stupid thing abt this trip was on my way return from the cruise i cannot enter batam thru nongsa jetty. i had to go back to sg and took another ferry to batam. sigh...

anyway, back to the cruise. on the crusie, changed $500 worth for chips and went makan first then straight to barcarrat tables. then i one table attracted me and i bet on it. there was this guy that kept betting at $500 and $1k chip and kept losing caught my attention. so basically to warm up for the nite, i kept betting his opposite bet and i won $200 in within the next few rounds.

then this loser stop betting and i bet on my luck. i started good and shortly this loser follow my bets and lost and balance about $300 chips. sian liao... and i took a break and went to eat again.

spotted another good table and start betting again. luck was good and with skills and patience i managed to increase my chip value to $600. then one of my kaki lost all his $$$ came over to me and distracted me and soon i left only five $20 chips.

cursed and swear, i took a break and came back and finally lost all.

took out my reserved $200 and changed to chips. switch from "god of gambler" mode to "go of technical" mode. i bet with extreme discipline. in the win and lose cycle... i and finally left 2 $20 chips.

took a break again and went back to the table. with great patience and concentration, my 2 $20 chips, rolled to $660. i was relived bcos it just passed midnite and i still have 6 hours before the first ferry.

quickly changed back to money and left $160 chips to continue for the nite. took another break again and went back to the arena. i was feeling good but lady luck was mean to me. it was a tiring and brain draining nite bcos i cant afford to lose and i need extra cash for my batam trip. then after some time i left $80 of chips. another break time and i came back to the table.

switch into my god of technical mode again and with great patience and skills, i managed to increase my chip value to $280 and it was 5 min past 0400hrs.

brain drained and luck no so good, i decided to stop and called it a day. i spend the rest of my time playing jackpot and hope to strike the $15k grand price.

wow! wat a day! counting my winnings and change back to money, i made a profit of $60 after less-ing my epenses fo the trip.

took the first ferry back to tanah merah and quickely bought another batam ticket and board the same ferry again. ha ha! those ferry crew saw me bought again smile again. ha ha!!!

There is a clinic/doctor in Batam who do abortion ... but he require the girl/woman husband to accompany her to see him(this is a must). He will not entertain if the girl/woman go by herself, without her husband. He will counsel both of you and advice against abortion. And whether he do the abortion lie with him. If he is not satisfy with the reason why the abortion is needed then he will not do it. Afterall, a life is in his hand.

Try the main hospital in Balai, they're more open and discrete regarding abortion.

Those joint ceweks who got pregnant in Batam, also goes over to the Balai hospital for their abortion, usually brought there by their papi/mami.

Will it save if one to go alone and not be able to speak their language? and will it be convinient to take a ferry from tanah merah?

Many times i've done day trips.
But more worthwhile to do a overnighter.

Best if u find someone experienced to tag along or find a good driver to bring u out.

From Tanah Merah can only go to Nongsa which is far from action.
Go to Harbourfront for ferries to Batam Centre which is nearer to action.
