I just got myself a gf from Batam. Just want to ask what is the most affordable method of making phone calls to Batam?

I know of a friend staying on a high floor, uses his Indonesia mobile to call his gf in Jakarta. It's on the Indonesia network, not roaming, so it's dirt cheap Indo rates!! You might want to give it a try.

Not applicable as I think most of the bros here dun stay on hogh floors. And also, not all, or infact most areas could not receive indo signals. Correct me if I am wrong:rolleyes:

TS, do you stay at the southern part of Sg? Why not try using an indo mobile line in Sg like 1 bro suggested?

AMK/Bishan area. Sounds unbelievable, when we can't even get m'sia signal..

The signal should be OK, or he won't be able to call for hours.

Go to East coast park, confirm can get the signal...buy plenty of top up cards too...

Bro, You might want to try signing up those budget call service provider like Sunpage, Zone, mediaring etc........Dun use those calling cards, very troublesome.......

Buy Simpati sim card for ur gf. free incoming for her. ask her to call u calling 0101765XXXXXXXX the xxxxxxxx is ur phone here. only 1000rupiah per min for calling singapore.

buy their local phone card to call in and out of IND...I bought for Rp63,000 with RP50,000 stored value. However you need local NRIC to register the line via SMS before any usage. Try getting the locals to buy for you.

I just buy the Homeconnect card from Starhub. $8.50 for $15 worth of calls. Press "3" for the "special rates". It's worth abt 1hr & 5 mins of talktime. I sometimes buy up to 2 cards a day.....

as 1 bro mentioned using skype, the other party need not have a phone just purchase credit n u are able to use ur computer (online) to call a landline. its quite cheap a few cents per min.....
