Anyone read this headline news on newpaper on Monday? i didn't know Koven got a lot until reported by newpaper. anybro approached by the ladies before?

Budget hotels, coffee shops, KTV lounges perfect...

The police arrested 12 Chinese nationals for vice-related offences in the rooms of Hotel 81 and Fragrance Hotel – both in Kovan – on April 1.

According to the police, their investigations showed some of the suspects had made use of the Internet to advertise their sexual services.

The joint operation by the Criminal Investigation Department and the Ang Mo Kio Police Division happened after residents in Kovan complained to their Member of Parliament, Madam Cynthia Phua, about scantily clad women loitering near their homes.

One pimp we met at a coffee shop along Upper Serangoon Road revealed Kovan has all the "right ingredients" to be a hot spot.

"There are budget hotels, coffee shops, convenience stores and KTVs," the pimp said. "And it’s in a quiet neighbourhood. Perfect."

The 30-year-old pimp said places like Kovan appeared on sex workers' radar because of the frequent raids in Geylang since last year.

dun think they will be totally wiped clean. they r like breeding mosquitoes ... multiply n scattered everywhr. maybe the activities will simmer down, OKTs will lie low for a short while & they may onli give out contacts selectively, maybe restrict to their regulars.

afterall this is a really lucrative biz. juz use some of yr brainjuice to write out a juicy FR online, u will be flooded with PMs askin for contacts. imagine d OKT gettin a cut of $20 for ea customer, 1 day 5 custmrs will be enuff to earn him a lucrative income for doin nothing much.

Now maybe FL will resort to 'outdoor' business.
Like doing in jungle areas like Kranji, MacRitchie, Seletar etc...

At the end of the day, have to see who is more determined. The gov on cleaning up or chiongsters on banging.

No prizes on guessing which. As long as there is demand, will always be someone to create supply. Just have to bear with the current state a little while and things will return to normal, I believe.

they'll just shift to the other budget hotels with transit rates.

it's a matter of time, i wonder if Hotel 81 will eventually close down. Because i'm pretty sure transit rates is one of their biggest money makers.

the joo chiat area budget hotels no longer offer transit and have slashed overnight prices to half. =/
