The upgrade is definately not iphone friendly as many of the icons (including the "post reply" icon) cannot load and also gives rise to akward resizing of the website. So as an iPhone user it is definately worse off.

Would recommend an iPhone friendly version.

Strange. I haven't changed any of the stylesheets. All I did was copy everything over.

I believe it's because I've turned vbSEO off for the time being but the proxy is serving the vbSEO generated URL. {search engine friendly}

I checked and it is working for me.

I have found that some of the tables have ended up corrupted during the import and I need a bit of time to fix them.

In the meantime, please make sure you keep copies of all your messages and PMs just in case I need to re import the database as some data may be lost in the process.

There are always bugs when a major shift like this takes place as no two servers are alike and a lot of things need reconfiguration to make everything work properly.

Probably the proxy server factor coming into play. ;) However, I have already found a few bugs that need to be worked on.

It's good to hear that most people find the site faster. It should be. The new servers have more processing power and bigger pipes.

You're still being sent to the old server. Just wait a while for the DNS to propagate. Usually goes worldwide within 24 hours.

though the pages seem to load faster, now when i click on the link/pages to navigate around the site, i often encounter an error page saying that the http is not available or incorrect address.

Many links seems to be broken, however it seem to be okie now. Sometimes, its the http 404...

I tried to access yesterday using Proxy server, and i tried to typed the full www.sammyboyforum.com out in my IE, both trying to access to FL DOME 3 to view my own thread. When i used proxy, i couldn't view some of the updates, the same goes for the webbie. If i posted something using the proxy, i can only view till that post. After that when i view the thread using the normal webbie i type under IE, i couldn't see the post i posted using proxy. I find it strange. But however, it's okie now. Just trying to give my feedback.

p/s: Some of my private massages, i need to switch between the proxy server and the normal webbie den i can check. Therefore, lead to some late replies of PMs, and when i replied, all potential customers gone... ='(

I'm using iPhone to surf and found it's much faster in terms of page loading but there's plenty of bugs to fix as many page cannot load due to the porting over.

This is wonderful news as I've been wondering for months whether this site is dying soon as it's very slow and problematic surfing it. :o

The missing icons is currently being caused by vbSEO re writing the urls even though I don't want it to :

Eg http://www.sammyboyforum.com/showthread.php?p=4945533#post4945533 will render the page correctly.

However http://www.sammyboyforum.com/adult-discussions-about-sex/190803-new-server-poll-feedback-appreciated-4.html will not. I'm trying to fix this problem next.

Hi Boss, in general, it seems 2 b faster in term of accessing & downloading speeds... Hence, i'd voted "Faster" 4 the poll above...

Basically, i've encountered the same problem (that u'd mentioned above) since the very first moment after u'd finished migrating 2 the new server...
A lot of previously opened links & favorites/bookmarks can't b used now...

Tried many internet speed boosting proxy cache services for many months, settled down with StrongVPN after using for just a day. BTW i'm on 8Mbps plan with 4/5 bar signal strength wireless G to my DIR-655. Starhub is known to have poor ping/latency issues with international servers, importantly.. US and EU. Another thing is Starhub throttles torrent/normal download, thus even if i am on 8Mbps, i can never go up to that bandwidth when downloading from remote overseas server. Lastly, Starhub surfing speed depends on the hours you surf, peak hours 8PM to 12MN = okay ok lag... But now it seems that even when i surf during peak hours i am not affected by it! Torrents in the past w/o StrongVPN max (Azureus) is about 150 kB/s to 200 kB/s. Now with StrongVPN, it shoots up to at least 500kB/s to 800+kB/s, with around 10 torrent downloads simultaneously. BTW my upload speed i set at only 8kB/s =D Note that other VPN services limit you to number of connections your torrent can connect to, but for StrongVPN.. so far its unlimited? Normal VPN servers limit to about 300 to 400 connections. Streaming videos from the US, NO MORE LAG! i can stream 700K live TV videos unlike in the past 250K + Lag. Now with StrongVPN no lag. Not forgetting i can now stream limited to US videos from Hulu and Netflix without lag too! It's time for me to stop renting DVDs from my local DVD rental shop! No need to also talk about youtube lag.. now youtube lag is taboo for me. Normal web surfing is good, webpages from overseas server loads much much much way faster than before... other than that its all normal. Users from Singapore under Starhub can go for Regular no need Open VPN plans unless you want their specific servers which i personally don't think it makes any diff except pay $$. They offer 2 days refund if you don't like their service, but i paid 3 months plan to have the setup fee waived at $45 = SGD$65 plus. For gamers, you can try StrongVPN if you want stable connections to your WoW/Stream account servers. I can't comment on them since i've grown out of gaming. So far my VPN connection to their San Fransisco server is consistent even my normal starhub line have such thing called peak hours which now doesn't affect me... and err you get to enjoy US based IP address.... =D

Futhermore they cap torrents... I got a 100 Mbit package from starhub, sound great and sometimes reaches nice speeds. But they pinch your bandwith on, for instance, torrents. I normally got about a 50Kb/s and since I use StrongVPN it went up to between 1-2Mb/s. A very welcome upgrade :-)!! Also the MDA blocked websites are available now. At first it didn't work but they helped me real quick (support is 24/7) switching to another server and since then it worked like a charm.

But when I contact sales support on skype it was sorted out very quickly. So far VPN features are as they are stated on the website. Pleased as punch. Visited site after a month away, found everything going very smoothly. Thread all popped up promptly, pics on outside sites came up rasonable speed in another window, links all worked well, etc.

Except that all the links in my Favourites did not work and instead showed the error message HTTP 404 Not Found, the webpage could not be found.
