quite a number of survey shows that in Singapore the percentage of pretty gers is so much lesser than of other countries like HK, PRC, Taiwan... Even men from PRC stated that..so why are Singapore Gers so arrogrant??? Beats me... Anyway most want to hook angmo as if only they can satisfy them...

Totally agree with you brother Strider. I'm not saying all local gers like that. But statistically most local gers seem to value foriegners or think too highly of them. Classic examples are those who try to simulate the looks and dressing of AngMo gers without giving consideration to whether it suits them. Some of them look so mismatched! :eek:

In the first place, where did you derive from that singapore ktv girls are more valuable? They may be rare but not neccessary more valuable, value is something you perceive and may not neccessary be across the board kind of valuation....unlike cars,property or watches....

The girls on their part may think that they are valuable, but if you as a customer is willing to pay for the price they state, then you are perceiving them at the value they place on themselves. To me I may not have the same consideration and thus I will not pay for what they ask for as I do not deem them to be valued at that price. Tendency for a Singaporean girl to command a higher price is because of the fact that they are rare and not readily available so in order to bed a singaporean, some guys are willing to pay more which I think "with due respect" stupid. In the past, because of IRC and the internet, I have some experience with singapore "next door" type girls on ONS basis. They may not be the prettiest but even the singaporean fls are not pretty to be honest...but the fact is I use to have them for free....until this FLs thing came about and now they all had this bright idea and started charging for the same thing I use to get for free.....so much so that I decided it is not worth paying for something I use to get for free....

As for the ang mos, when you are in Singapore you most probably want to try Singaporean girls so that is why the girls all think so highly of themselves.

hmm... if I am not wrong, Singapore girl population is more than guys? Walking down the road of Orchard, clubs or KTVs, pretty girls are everywhere but got to agree that demands and expectations from the girls are high, materialistic is the word.

Remind me about it, one of my uncles went Viet for a business trip and brought back a Viet wife for just $5000 which covers the weddings package as well... cool price... ask me if she is pretty, yeah she is, able to cook, look after kids and take care of household chores. What more can you ask for as a house wife.

Well, coming back to the topic, after been to some local KTVs, realised that even an overnight session with a Singapore KTV girl can easily cost you $1000 or more (of course there are some with lower value)... you got to be kidding me... sg ktv gals demand more can be rationalised by the demand and supply law.

let's face it. Though we have a population of 4.3mil, the young population probably stands at say 500k? what are the chances of them being FLs or even KTV gals especially when Singaporeans treasure face value. Thus, they became such a rarity and some rich dudes are willing to fork $$$ to lay their hands on them. In addition, these gals wanna rake in as much as possible in the quickest possible time to keep their exposure down to the best minimum. And so, there u have it..... costly SG ktv gals.

In summary, most agree that SG gers are more expensive than their foreign counter parts. Let's not digress from the gist of the discussion. We started with brudder Strider's comment that there are lesser pretty gers in Sg (in terms of percentage i.e. relativity instead of absolute numbers. So the smaller population in Sg does not matter) and that Sg gers are more arrogant, prefer AngMo, belittle Sg men and too materialistic (i.e. poorer service at a higher cost).

I also put in that this is a generic statement and does not generalise all as there are good and bad apples locally and from foriegn talent pool but just that that the proportion is bad on the locals. Some brudders agreed too.

Now back to the discussion. The excuse of less supply leading to higher price demand does not sound right in this case. This is a service industry. If your service is f***ed up and you demand a higher price, that is short changing the customer esp since the customer expects a similar standard and price as the rest of the marker. Thanx to the forum and active discussion from brudders, the damage could be controlled subsequently by saving other brudders (the sharing & caring nature of the forum :D ). Nevertheless, the experience will still remain painful to those who went thru it. I can relate to that as I've bled too.

As for value, bro brs_worid made some good points. I agree that value should be perceived by others and not self-proclaimed. Self-praise is a disgrace rite. So in the context of local KTV, FL (which I have no experience) and HC (I have limited exp) gers, either they should stay with the market or make it clear that they have golden CB that demands a premium. Then if a brudder makes an informed decision to pay the premium, that his choice!
