hmm let me help clear wind abit.

There are 2 kind of singer in Singapore KTV.
1. Local (including Malaysian)
2. Foreign (China, Thai, Viet)

For locals, they can do whatever they want,
and their pay depends on their negotiation with the club they sing in.

For Foreign singers, they usually have a local agent that arrange
where they will perform. The pay usually depends on the flowers
they get. If they reach a certain target they will get a basic pay.
or else they will only get a share of the flower hung.

e.g. If they get 10,000 flower, they will get a basic pay of 1,000
and also lets say 50% of the 10,000 which gives them a income of
6,000,but if they only have 1,000 flower for that month, they will only get
500.

The above is EXAMPLE... usually they get less, company earn more.

Plus foreign singer have to pay a fixed tax every month to perform
in the clubs. The club will say they employ the singer for like S$2,500
and the income tax is paid by the singer. so if you ask me, the real
ROBERT is the Singers as the KTV or club is the ultimate winner.

Saying so, it will explain also why some Singer have to find robert.
because they have a much more monthly bill to pay.

Agent Fees + Rental + Income Tax + Make up.

As for beauty, for each his own, some singer are more beautiful,
but most people like them because they are cleaner, and more high class.

Most singers usually have regular robert that pays them S$5000 - S$10000
a month, this enable them to pay their bills and stay in singapore.

So if you want to play around with singer, make sure you have enough money to support their expenses. Its not them just the bloody KTV clubs that make their life dificult.

THere are some rules for foreign singers set by the Government.

1. They are not suppose to site with customers (they can reject you by law)
2. They are not suppose to get a boy friend or live in with any singapore guys.
3. They are not suppose to go out with customers.

The club also have rules which are :

1. Singer are suppose to perform during the specified hours.
2. if singer wants to be absent they will have to BUY FLOWERS (a penalty) which can amount to S$300 - S$600 per session. there are usually 3 sessions a nite. so if you want to book the singer for the entire nite out of the club, be prepared to pay S$900 - S$1,800
3. Singer can only have 1 day off a month, or when they hit a certain target for the month, they get another day off.

There are also some rules that MALE agents may have on the singer:

1. Dont pay agent fees (which can amount to S$500 a month) either spend a nite with the MALE agent, or the MALE agent will sell the singer to highest bidder for the nite.
2. If singer refuse, MALE agent will send the singers back home.


If you ask me, Singers are being exploited by KTV's and Male agents. Only plus side is, they can stay in singapore for a year legaly before they take a compulsory leave back to china for 3 months.

And for good singers, they can earn up to S$10K-S$20K a month after expenses.

not expert lah.. used to know alot of managers of KTV's.

anyway the cut depends on the negotiation with the company.

SOME Male agent will "PAKAT" with the company and have the share
as 70% company, 30% singer.

but those singers who have been around will not settle for less than
50% company , 50% singer. and if they hit a certain targer its
70% Singer, 30% company.

anyway if you all wonder why i DONT LIKE MALE AGENTs... its because
i seen alot of the MALE agents exploiting the singers (not to imply all

Just add a bit of my experience. If u are serious of knowinf more bout the singers (be they local or foriegn). Get to know the singer manager first. Just intro yourself to him/her. The tell them what songs u enjoy singing and blah blah. Normally the singer manager will ask which country of origin the singers from u like. Once u indicate, whether local or foriegn, the manager will arrange for a singers to sit with you.

Suggest that u start off gently by just engaging in casual conversation with the singers that sit with you. Most of them dun rush into hanky panky things, esp when they are sitted in the main hall. If u like the singers, then can hang flowers as an encouragement for her. If dun like, u can politely tell the manager that u din prepared enough money or not used to hanging flowers etc. When hanging flowers, dun go for big sum like 1K at one shot. Try smaller amount first such as $20 or $30. And c how the singers treat u. Some will ignore u then u dun hv to waste anymore time and money with them. Some will continue to treat u as frens and u can then decide whether and how u wan to proceed with her.

You see.......different KTV practise different system............................bro teraterm point is in general...........................places like Lido and TAM practise this system.

I was once stupidly in love with a Lido singer!..............even when i wan to bring her out after 12md.................I pay Lido $400.00 = 10hrs to be with the singer.............if I want the singer to take a day off..........its $800.00 = 20 hrs.

Nowadays , I goes to Dynasty Classic where the best Flower joint is!here the singers are without basic pay at all...........their min target is $8000.00 flower $ and they get to split with the company 70-30.

Just heard recently some mother fuckers hang 100k a night there.......................was not there to witness so no cfm but I believed its true!!!!!! :D

Got to know a really sweet singer - girl-next-door type - and have been going out with her during the day for past 1 week. Just shopping, dinner and chatting - she even pay for her own shoppings when I volunteer to pay - thought that she might be different.

gets 70%, of which the singer will share 50% with the guy.
so lets say guy hangs 10K. company takes 3K, gal gets 7K.

of the 7K guy gets 3.5K and girl keeps 3.5K

perfect match.

and if you own your own company, can go hang flowers, claim ENT
from gov, and dont pay that much company tax.

then share with the singer and maybe get MORE out of the singer.
