Hi, just wants to know what the market range to tip when u want to bring out a gal from those ago go pub or disco pub in soi comboy, patpong and nana? I know usually when u want to bring a gal out, u got to pay around 500 baht. But once u bring her out and stay with u the whole nite till the next day (plus sex of course), how much is the market range to tip her?

Had one girl from one of the beer bar in suk soi 23 part of soi cowboy (now demolished i think). Paid her bar fine 500Bht and bring her out for dinner. After dinner, she wanted to follow me back to my apartment, without even negotiating the price. Since I know the market rate around 2000 to 3000 Bht for LT so juz go along. After bonking ask her how much the next morning. She said no need to pay. That made me scared... fyi free is not good (unless ofcourse you have no feeling whatsoever).

Not to suan you, the gals there seldom eat or drink much, no matter what posh place you bring them to, most of the time you yourself are eating and drinking. Also no one ask you to bring her around the whole kampong before going back to hotel for your bonk. As someone who has been living in BKK for the past 6 years, i can tell you something. Most of these girls are really poor things (of course there are those who are just out to extort you so I also understand you as well). As the atypical Singaporean, we tend to concentrate on getting the most for our money. (best price for best service etc etc). For thais, they are generally am easy-going race. No doubt many classify them as sneaky, cunning and downright money-grubbers. But has anyone thought how that came to be? I've tried to understand the thai mentality for many years and after 3-4 serious relationships, and after amongst them for so many years, I came to the conclusion that beneath their cheerful faces and "sabai,sabi" attitude is one of distrust and paranoia. I can tell you that most thais despite what some say about their tight-knit family ties, they habour these feelings towards their siblings and for some, parents as well. WLs and FLs work their asses (and literally cunts) off for their parents and in the end all they get is an extended hand for more money. The bottomless pit or never-ending story.

So dear friend, pay them what is due to them. If you think about getting a freebie, that's also possible but the emotional baggage and guilt-ridden conscience is not worth it. Like what I tell most of friends who chiong in BKK, "fuck and forget". If you want more than that, then maybe you can procced on to the next level.

Bro, asking price is subjective, one can bargain to 1.5K but the service was so good that the tips was 1K after everything. As I said, when you are there, one tends to forget about the value of money. 1K is no big deal, just about $40 plus but ask yourself, after a bonk in Sing here, did you ever tip a $40? If no, I dont see the need to tip so much then, unless she is exceptionally good. :)

Problem 1: the promise this girls are making in the bar to go LT with you seldom helds: : Latest at 3:00 in the morning they make a move, quoting all short of bullshit excuses. If that happens, just be firm and only pay her 1/2 of what agreed earlier for LT.

Problem 2: gals in the bar are under peer pressure of their co-workers: they are pushed to ask for 3000 or 4000BHt LT, because they fear that if they agree to a lower rate, their "freinds" will think they are "cheap" girls and thus loose their face. So, be prepared to pay for a gal in the bar approximately double as for the same gal once she's outside.


Therefore:
Best hunting ground theses days is Shukumvit after 1:00 when many of the bars closing and the gals are going home. There you can score real LT between 1000 and 2000 Bht, ST sometimes is accepted for as low as 500 Bht.

Well just to share my 1st humble experience in my 1st trip to BBk. The 1st nite I already spend around 2.5K, just to find a hotel to stay, thats, a taxi ride to hotel and a nite stay at Traveller (near to Chaopara Park Hotel). Later realise kena rip big time by the agent at the airport. ( Hotel around 1.2K, but they charge me 1.5K baht and the taxi fare is 700 Baht) which I think if going by meter is around 140 Baht. But later on I wise up of course, got my own taxi and go check in hotel myself better.

I do not know sidelines or those dancing on the bar cost how much but that time I got is those outside hawking for customer. She just push me into the bar KNN, but ok loh cos 1st time there and alone, dunno what to do. After awhile, though she cant speak much english, I think she is very cheerful and playful, so bar fine her out for 500 baht. After that go Nana disco with her and stay till 2am, then go back to my hotel. She stayed till the next morning around noon time then ciao. But before she ciao, ask for tips of 3K, so just gave to her. Duno if its a mistake to give her my HP number, but she will call now and then to ask me when I go back bangkok :D so I just tease her next time i go see her, no more tips from me and she said ok, haha, can even stay at her apartment.

i love 'shopping' around the meat market outside of Nana after closing. Normally LT is 1500b-2000b range, done it many times already for last year without any hassles. Also easy to makan.....the hamburger stand outside Nana serves up some of the best burgers in Thailand....period.

For me, additional tip above what is agreed is standard 100b for forgettable lousy service and 300-500b for normal to good service
