{no racist intention here} but i always had the impression idians are unique in a way, generally they only like their own race, cos their race is very different from the rest..

from what I experienced from indians, they do not like their own race and many wish they were not indian.

often, they try to change their name to something else, especially those who become catholics or christians.

eg Muthu Palanisamy change to Jesus Mary Joseph.

However, Chinese who become christians or catholics do not change their name to sound like they're not chinese.

These indians then will slowly start to say they are EURASIAN when they do not look like eurasian at all but more like bangla.

those who go other countries to live or study especially like to say they are American or Australian when they come back.

I once worked with one such guy, he is north indian (fair indian) but he dyed his hair light grey and wear coloured contacts. he comes from america but we all know he is indian. but when anyone calls him Indian, he will get very angry and insist he is American and not Indian.

Not sure if other people encounter such behaviour.

Not trying to be racist but relating what I've seen and heard with my own ears and eyes.
