i am a regular at Kovan

Kovan H81: 2 IDs and your partner must be citizen or PR. Passports, LT pass and work permits not accepted.

Kovan F: 2 IDs but accept partner's passport, LT pass or work permit.

then if 1 person stay overight how? lol....

If 1 person staying overnite or short time, they will take note of your room number. Any guy/girl will be asked going to which room when they passby the reception when going to the lift. If they say your room number, then they will be asked to produce valid documentations and also call your room to double-confirm.

Yups, i always bring my VB who is using passport to check in.
No problem at all.
