Heard that they will be closing at their current premises soon. Don't know if it is for good. Hopefully not. Looking for a place that is similar I guess?

I dont think there is anything like it along Joo Chiat unless you just want the Viet girls, which are all over the place just down the road from Jazzy.

But if you are willing to try other places like Jazzy but not around Joo Chiat. Maybe Star Disco at Orchard Plaza might please you. Viet girls/singers/dancers. Slightly expensive. Quiet on both nights I went.

Or maybe Ipanema at OT? At least it has music I understand. I havent been there myself, but heard more than enough of that place. I am definitely heading there in the near future to bag some Viet FL.

However, if singers are your thing. I am unable to suggest any more than this.

Yeah heard they were closing in another thread - shame if it does :( I like places like Jazzy because I can just stop by after work for an hour or two and enjoy myself before heading home.

I tend to avoid Orchard because of the prices, and I'm generally not there to take a girl - just for some fun and mischievous company whilst enjoying the live entertainment.

I keep hearing Ipanema mentioned in other threads, but not sure how good it is. I'm probably around Orchard this weekend so may have a look.

Other places I've been to are a few discos in Golden Mile Complex. Very similar to Jazzy but drinks seemed a lot more expensive and the girls were a lot pushier.

Sakura at Gl Lor 26 and Lookers at Gl Lor 28 are exactly like Jazzy. Thai band with viets floating around to accompany you.

Heard Ipanema @ OT is good, but again, they operation quite late , was once there till 8ish and that place is as empty as my mug of beer. Hur!

Yes i think the joo chiat hotel under which jazzy is located has been sold. So they will probably have to vacate. Anyway Joo Chiat is clamping down, no more new licences are been issued, so dying a slow death.

Action shifting, IMHO, to geyang eventually. Alredy at lor 40 u got mask, upub,saigon, the stretch to the coffee shop at lor 40. But lately springrolls seem scarce, could be due to the intense raids.

Was at Upub couple nites ago, like a gay bar. Keep fingers crossed that it get better. Customers automatically gravitate towards those still got VBs around, heard alot here in this forum Orchard plaza action.

Maybe pub owners trying to go legit with the VB, with singers n dancers.

lookers is like jazzy, disguised a Thai joint but VBs around. Ipanema is meant more for expat n tourists, international FL, quite alot of VB FL also.

I stopped by Sakura and Lookers yesterday. It was around 10pm which I didn't think was too early, but I dunno... Lookers had a few singers and maybe 3-4 girls wandering around, hardly anyone else in there. Sakura was empty - few guys playing pool and that was it. Maybe they kick off later.

After that I went to Jazzy 51 and it was *packed*. Same singers, maybe a few new ones, but lots more viet girls and some really cute ones too.
