KTV Premium Spending

Though it might go unnoticed to the common eyes but the undercurrent sentiments have been strong. A new trend has emerged from this scene which is loosely tagged as "Premium Spending". The people who perform such feat are known as "Premium Spenders". I believe without much effort, most of the regulars here are able to identify who are those PS. However, in my opinion, "premium spending" does not exist. The reason that we are here is pure and simple, to get acquainted with people and to share out the hefty cost of cheonging. Otherwise, getting the best value out from the dollars we spent. Regardless of reasons and objectives, everyone of us are deemed as individual, differences are inevitable. But being able to enjoy the companionship of fellow brudders is already in itself, priceless... I know of people here who did find a close friend and a confidante one way or another, isn't this what it's all about?
I shall not get too sentimental here, but I would like to bring out the fact that I have really enjoyed outings with the brudders here, and I am not speaking for only myself, I hope WPP, S3, Alloy, Evo, Ham, Marji, Serlee, Anythingz, M98, Spurs, MHS and a lot more of them would agree with me, am I rite?
I will be gutted if ever because of this premium spending is going to ruin the fellowship among brudders, let us give one another the benefit of being a individual, shall we? Each of us have different priorities anyway, some might like to bet on soccer in thousands and feel the pinch when paying tenties for cheonging, some might rather cheong heavily instead and not spend on cigarettes at all. So, even within the four vices, there is a benchmark in each of us that dictates how much we are willing to forgo to get ourselves satisfied. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Personal preferences and aims will set the pace as well, if you know what I mean.
I have to apologise if I have been a bore, but I reckon it would be the best to face off with this issue and hope that we can be more forthcoming. :)

Well, Bro Bazic I have to agreed with what you had written here. If it is becasue of the word "Premium Spender" that had to seperate all the bros here into different cat than is wrong. Anyway, when we are out and end of the day when the bill is here everyone will have to pay for their share. This is a very fair deal.

well, given the disposable income of most sporeans r not that high, after paying for house, car, household, kids, savings, food etc etc, n assuming u r not cheongin on company account,

if u can cheong regularly, once or twice or thrice a week at ktv (hh or sh), even if a lot of people share, u will be out of pocket say 300 to 400 a week, n thats without bonking at all!

one month how much liao? if u still think thats ok, then u r not a regular but premium spender.

as for drinking n being calculative, personally, when i cheong, we dont care how much one person or the other drink cos we all try not to drink.

of course it will be best if bottle last long long, but if cannot, we also know its part of the deal of going to ktv.

bascially, everyone of us here are from all walk of life, each with difference background, each holding difference job and of coz, pay wise, all taking home difference amount each month. Moreover...irregardless of each income...everyone also set aside difference amount for cheonging....and someone who earn more may set a smaller budget than someone who earn less then him.

therefore...not everyone have the same cheonging habit since we are all difference individual, each with difference budget...as for the term premium spender....I guess at least for myself, i have yet to meet any bro here who can really fall into that category. No offend hor but i used to cheong with many indonesia friends and those are really the premium spender.

I myself dun drink much...and these days i only go for H20...but when come to cost sharing, I'm all for it. I believe we should all spilt the cost equally..not one should argue on the point that because he dun drink or dun drink as much, he should pay less.

However, each individual do also have the right to decide which group of friends he wants to cheong with....those who drink alot or those who control the bottle. (i'm being very blunt here...but please no hard feeling oki)

since i dun drink, i prefer to go KTV with those who also more or less fall into that category...to me if 4-5 pax, 1 bottle should be oki...if 7-8 pax, then by all means 2 bottles. And most importantly of all, all bros should be informed before extra bottle is ordered. Not being stingy here but i'm sure i not the only one having this concern.

to those who i have cheong with...guess u guys know what i am trying to explain...but let me reassure...I really enjoy all your company (CKK, songsong, LS, Meng, MHS, WPP, Evo, Smiler, M98, S3, Hamlinlau, Basic606, serlee, Marji, MGplayer, Turbo, wanderer, alloy and many many more)

However, i can't probably cheong with some of you guys every now and then, as the accumulative damage is simply too huge....Since I am the one answering to myself when i tally all my expenses come end month, so its only right that i decide who I want to cheong KTV more with. I was once a very high premium spender way back in 1986 until 1996 = 10 years there. when I used to patronise Lido Palace, those kind of money I come to think of it is painful lah, but at least I enjoy myself during my young days. But of course after married have to change the cheonging pattern lah otherwise cant cope up with the family. Eversince I had already drop my spending on nite clubs and KTV. Those days is different, easy money no problem, but now is all hard earn money so must be careful when comes to spending. Therefore, bros who think they can go with a certain group and cheong that will be the best, at least they understand each other well especially the pattern of spending.

for some pple...spending 1-2K/nite is nothing, espeically the rich indonesians...and do remember that there are bound to be some pple who are jobless...struggling to survive...so to this gp of pple, cheonging places like BS/MG is also a premium.

bascially, everyone of us here are from all walk of life, each with difference background, each holding difference job and of coz, pay wise, all taking home difference amount each month. Moreover...irregardless of each income...everyone also set aside difference amount for cheonging....and someone who earn more may set a smaller budget than someone who earn less then him.

we should, or could cheong, but pls cheong with ur 'upper head' coz u r the one who provides the food on the table n shelter over the roof. i foresee more crisis arises when our IR is ready in 4 yrs.
