Hi all,

Perhaps the forum in which I want to relate the story to all bros isn't really suitable, but I can't find any better forum than this one.

Went to get an $80 ger at L16 (forgot what house number) last Thursday. I called for this lady whom I've been calling for the past 6 mths. As usual it's a BBBJ, so the only protective act was the FJ part.

Sunday: Felt pain in my didi. Pain while peeing.
Monday: Pus coming out of my didi. Went to DSC and diagnosed with Gonorrhoea.

KNN. I'm v sure got bros experienced worst than me, but I felt there's a need for me to warn all bros here, that even girls who are authorised to carry out this trade will still contract STDs. I'm due to check myself for Syphillis (they ask me to come back) in 3 mths' time. So will cross fingers and hope for the best.

Background of Gonorrhoea: Symtoms don't usually appear in women, so don't bother to ask the girl if she thinks she contracted any. Chances are my ger got it from some bros and the bacteria stayed in the back of the throat. When my didi's mouth hit the end of her throat, bingo.... I've joined the STD club....

Then came my DSC experience. Never been there. Never wanted to. Finally there. 1st consultation was a male nurse who took a sample of my pus. 2nd one was with a doctor with some understudy. CB 2 little girls with the doctor and doc told me that they'll be there to learn. Gosh I should have requested them to back off since I was v v uncomfortable with them there whilst the doc asking me what sex acts I did and which prostitute (from where) I had sex with.

Well overall a lesson learnt. The f**ked up me didn't listen to bros here advising not to have BBBJ and now it's my turn to contract it. Guess it's a wake up call for me and hope all bros can take care. Let's make this a better world to live in.

Yes, a timely reminder to all bbbj lovers, me inclusive.

Many a times, this ubiquitous STD is transmitted via unprotected oral sex, usually fellatio rather than cunnilingus.

So do take care all fellatio sans rubber lovers...

Bro Cognac

Another piece of advice for you. Gonorrhoea can be easily treated with a course of anti biotic.

According to a sex book which I have read many years ago, contracting gonorrhoea in USA is like contracting a common cold. What it means here is that gonorrhoea can be easily treated like common cold. So, not to worry too much.

Meanwhile, you have no choice but to refrain from further sex. Take care.

Do accept my sincere thanks to all bros for the support and (unexpectedly) the rep pt. Hehe.

Just wanted to share wif all bros here that I've been someone who kept saying it won't happen to me... buy toto or 4D neber kana all my life... and due to a spurt of a moment I striked it

The disease might just be equivalent to a cold.. but I was almost thinking that it's just another inflammation and am soon going overseas for work almost neber discover that.... if not maybe become sterile liao.

Got the injection on my buttocks today. Antibiotics was given to me for 2 weeks. But I still feel pain in my didi. Maybe done too many bad deeds liao. And now next issue... how to account to GF????? Well will think of something liao...

I won't do BBBJ in future liao. All bros chiong wif utmost care ok!

Dear Alice,
What are the risks of contracting a sexually transmitted disease if a woman performed oral sex on a man without a condom?

Thank you,
Worried

Dear Worried,

The risks depend on whether or not the receiver and/or giver was already infected with a sexually transmitted infection (STI), and if so, then which one. Herpes, for example, can definitely be transmitted to the giver or receiver through unprotected oral sex if one of them is in the infectious stage, including when sores are not visible. HIV also can be transmitted through unprotected oral sex (the virus is present in the "pre-cum," not only in the ejaculate), though oral sex is a less likely route of HIV infection than anal or vaginal intercourse.

Yeast infections, gonorrhea, and syphilis can be transmitted, as can human papillomavirus (HPV), the virus that causes genital warts, and chlamydia, though both are rarely passed on in this way.

To lessen the risks, using safer sex methods, such as unlubed condoms and dams during oral sex, is a good idea. If you're at Columbia, condoms are free and available to all students. You can pick some up at the Health Service in John Jay or on your floor.

If you're a Columbia student and you're concerned, call x4-2284 to make an appointment for an STI check-up. Let the health care provider know that you are concerned about oral sex and the possibilities of infection with an STI. You can also make an appointment for an HIV test approximately three months after the high-risk activity occurred. At Columbia, free confidential HIV testing is provided for students and their partners by GHAP; you can call x4-7970 to learn about the testing time schedule for the semester.

For more information about oral sex and STI transmission, search Alice's Sexual Health archive.

What You Should Know about Oral Sex
December 2000

Oral Sex Is Not Considered Safe Sex

Like all sexual activity, oral sex carries some risk, particularly when one partner or the other is known to be infected with HIV, when either partner's HIV status is not known, and/or when one or the other partner is not monogamous or injects drugs. Numerous studies have demonstrated that oral sex can result in the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Abstaining from oral, anal, and vaginal sex all together or having sex only with a mutually monogamous, uninfected partner are the only ways that individuals can be completely protected from the sexual transmission of HIV.

Oral Sex is a Common Practice

Oral sex involves giving or receiving oral stimulation (i.e., sucking or licking) to the penis, the vagina, and/or the anus. Fellatio is the technical term used to describe oral contact with the penis. Cunnilingus is the technical term which describes oral-vaginal sex. Anilingus (sometimes called "rimming") refers to oral-anal contact. Studies indicate that oral sex is commonly practiced by sexually active male-female and same-gender couples of various ages, including adolescents. Although there are only limited national data about how often adolescents engage in oral sex, some data suggest that many adolescents who engage in oral sex do not consider it to be sex; therefore they may use oral sex as an option to experience sex while still, in their minds, remaining abstinent. Moreover, many consider oral sex to be a safe or no risk sexual practice. In a recent national survey of teens conducted for The Kaiser Family Foundation, 26% of sexually active 15 to 17 year olds surveyed responded that one "cannot become infected with HIV by having unprotected oral sex," and an additional 15% didn't know whether or not one could become infected in that manner.

Oral Sex and the Risk of HIV Transmission

The risk of HIV transmission from an infected partner through oral sex is much smaller than the risk of HIV transmission from anal or vaginal sex. Because of this, measuring the exact risk of HIV transmission as a result of oral sex is very difficult. In addition, since most sexually active individuals practice oral sex in addition to other forms of sex, such as vaginal and/or anal sex, when transmission occurs, it is difficult to determine whether or not it occurred as a result of oral sex or other more risky sexual activities. Finally, several co-factors can increase the risk of HIV transmission through oral sex, including: oral ulcers, bleeding gums, genital sores, and the presence of other STDs.
When scientists describe the risk of transmitting an infectious disease, like HIV, the term "theoretical risk" is often used. Very simply, "theoretical risk" means that passing an infection from one person to another is possible, even though there may not yet be any actual documented cases. "Theoretical risk" is not the same as likelihood. In other words, stating that HIV infection is "theoretically possible" does not necessarily mean it is likely to happen -- only that it might. Documented risk, on the other hand, is used to describe transmission that has actually occurred, been investigated, and documented in the scientific literature.

Other STDs Can Also be Transmitted from Oral Sex

Scientists have documented a number of other sexually transmitted diseases that have also been transmitted through oral sex. Herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, genital warts (HPV), intestinal parasites (amebiasis), and hepatitis A are examples of STDs which can be transmitted during oral sex with an infected partner. For more information see Oral Sex and STDs Fact Sheet.

Reducing the Risk of HIV Transmission Through Oral Sex

The consequences of HIV infection are life-long, life-threatening, and extremely serious. You can lower any already low risk of getting HIV from oral sex by using latex condoms each and every time. For cunnilingus or anilingus, plastic food wrap, a condom cut open, or a dental dam can serve as a physical barrier to prevent transmission of HIV and many other STDs. Because anal and vaginal sex are much riskier and because most individuals who engage in unprotected (i.e., without a condom) oral sex also engage in unprotected anal and/or vaginal sex, the exact proportion of HIV infections attributable to oral sex alone is unknown, but is likely to be very small. This has led some people to believe that oral sex is completely safe. It is not.

I did not use a condom because I had an allergic reaction the first and only time I used one. I have not seaked treatment because I don't want to go through all the explaining and have it on my record.

The example you quoted:
Dear Alice,
"What are the risks of contracting a sexually transmitted disease if a woman performed oral sex on a man without a condom?"

All the acticles seem to write about oral sex on man rather than the other way round, I don't have a clear idea what happens if the guy lick the gal pussy because I always tot that since the penis is not involved, it should be quite safe.

Like tat also kana scolded.. hai...

See my rep pts kana deducted. Realised even if you're kind enuff to let bros know abt the unsafe sex practices you'll still get fired.

Ok shall contribute no more.

Bro Johnson, he got it for abt 1+ week and that got worse when he drank. It'll serve a moral purpose to get yourself checked since you might be doing it wif gf. You might not know whether you still have it, and chances are the virus will make you sterile. So do go for checkup bro :)
