Thank you for your advice! I will honestly take it into consideration.

My reasons are simple;

I'm not looking to start a serious relationship (yet), but would like some companionship. A SB/SD arrangement is beneficial as both parties are aware what is involved from the very beginning, and I don't really want to have a "rebound girl" only to dump her afterwards. Such break-ups are almost always messy, and leave at least 1 party hurt.

As for money and philanthropy; you are absolutely right. In the grand scheme of things, my money can be used for better purposes. But at this point of time, I admit that I am selfish and wish to prioritize my wants and needs first. In due course of time I will definitely look into bettering the lives of others.
