Interesting pub at Anson Road...

I was sending my overseas collegue back to M Hotel in Anson Road when he suggested we went for a few rounds of drinks in a nearby pub. Can't remember what's the pub's name by it's located just opposite of M Hotel on the ground floor beside the 7-11.

Went in and the first thing that captured my attention was seeing 2-3 girls (definitely not locals maybe Philippines/Thailand) in body hugging blouses and very short skirts pole dancing on the podium. Anyway, my collegue and I settled down and ordered our drinks. Soon, we see a bevy of girls and made small talks with them. Surprisingly they were very friendly and asked us to buy them drinks. Since my collegue and I were in a good mood, so we thought why not?

Here's the interesting part, after we purchased them drinks, they were very "touchy-touchy" with us and as the music plays the girl I was attached to was giving me a lap dance! Excellent! Pub "Now and Then" is one of my regular hangout places with my colleagues whenever I am in town becos it is near my office. The costs during happy hour are $18 for a jug of beer and $60 for a bottle of wine. For the gals, you'll buy them a drink for $20, so restrict your self on the number of drinks.

Go on Wednesday night got dancers from Devils Bar performing on their stage till midnight in different sets. Now got 6 dancers with each set perform by 2 dancers.

I am no stakeholder in this pub nor am I promoting the place. Bros, watch your pockets when you visit the place as just ordering and signing for the LDs you might find yourself leaving the place with a bill much more higher than you expected.

Some piece of advice, identify the butterflies and avoid buying them drinks because they will not finish their drinks and fly to other tables. If not satisfied just threatened to take away their points from the LDs and they will definitely come running back to you. Trust me, the waiters are a bunch of helpful chap.

Do not order a round of 5 Tequila shots($50) in case they just have 1 or 2 and run elsewhere. Look out for their tricks to split the Tequila out after drinking discreetly, either to the side of the table or to a glass of water they have (pretend to drink but actually to split the Tequila back to the glass). Not all gals are like that but I know very well who are those who will show pattern. :p

One last piece of valuable advice - you might see the gals drinking Tequilas like water from the tap and still hop around, dance around with no traces of getting high or drunk. Why? Because the Tequilas you ordered are mixed with a high concentration of plain water! Do not believe try one of them and you will know. Who can tahan 10 - 20 Tequila shots and not even get high?? Robot har? Haha. Thus, tell the waiters when ordering say that you want a pure Tequila or red wine. Trust me, you will notice the change in their face color when the pure drinks come.

I was there again last night. Confirmed, it's called the Now & Then Pub. This place is fun...but a gentle reminder guys, need to really watch your wallet when you are there. For the past 2 night, I've been spending about $300+ on just purely drink at that place! Kindda addictive....but the end result is satisfying.

P/s: As for their drinks, did try their cocktail. I ordered one of my girl Burbon Coke, I think there's more Coke than Burbon. No wonder they are not high even after so much drinks...*darn*

Very interesting!!! I thought that the Pub will not last long. It has been a year ago that I went there!!! The place is like a LB and if you got the charm, u can hook one to your liking. However the place is suitable for people over 30 years old or even over 40 as it is like an old man pub. I went with my friends and the female manager noticed us and told us to call her auntie will do. She is a good drinker and even give discount to us as one of my friend's father colleague is the boss to the pub... Guess I have to go down these days again to see whether any changes...
