Think its a lot more expensive than at DSC but you will probably be less embarassed at this place and face less embarassing and probing questions at this place than DSC.
The tests seems pretty complete. Other popular places for STI advice, such as Kreta Ayer Clinic and Cheok Clinic in Geylang, does not have these lab tests unless you specifically asks (and even then, I am not sure they will provide).
Just FYI.

I think I would still prefer DSC as they are specialisng in STDs and treatment. The consultation and test fee rate is also heavily subsidised and I believed DSC has the latest test equipments avaliable.

I personally feel that Raffles medical uses the most advanced and latest of all diagnostic equipments, as all tests are conducted in-house at the Raffles Hospital. So equipments are obviously new and state-of-the-art.
Just my thoughts...planning to go there soon too! :D

btw, i went to see Dr. Tan @ ayer rajah, he recommeded to go n see DSC :(
urologist will be a good alternate, also they can check for UTI related problems ...

I went for the STD package at Raffles and it's quite expensive.
I remembered going for another test at a private clinic, and
they send the blood samples to a lab, the results looks more
professionally printed on the results slip compared to Raffles
but i guess the results are just results.
Raffles hospital has the lab upstairs so the test results could be
faster.. i have yet to receive the rest of my test results and
don't know if the doctors will help interpret them.. otherwise,
if they don't help interpret, i would be better off going to
your private GP who can arrange for the entire set of
STD screening as well.
we understand all the gals in GL 150- 80 - 40 goes for twice a month HIV test, do they go for STD screening also?
any one can clarify ... probably boss is the best person :D

I heard from the counsellors at AFA that they do go for the STDs Screening at DSC. Once, detected for the bacterial diseases, they will be given jabs and pills.
Thanks bro Sorin, then what will happend if detected with Viruses???
i appreciate it!!!

Raffles Medical's receipt will only state 2 items; no matter what you test for:
a) Consultation/Medicine
b) Lab/Rad/Surgery
Consultation charges are mostly minimal (machiam +++en) about $12.
Lab will depend on what you test for. (I paid $45)
My Doc gave me this damn sad look, then say, you're playing with fire you know? :(
But he recommended 2 tests only: VD and HIV.
He said since no symptoms...not need for other tests. B'cos these two are the blacklisted ones (tiok sibeh suay).
Tests are conducted in-house at Raffles Hospital. So waiting time average 2-3 business days. Definitely shorter than a week. Doc mentioned that they're quite efficient at it.
Now waiting for my test results...please send good karma my way. :o

ATTN BOSS: My previous (similar) post was approved. But it did not appear here. So I'm reposting again. 10Q!
Raffles Medical's receipt will only state 2 items; no matter what you test for:
a) Consultation/Medicine
b) Lab/Rad/Surgery
Consultation charges are mostly minimal at about $12.
Lab charges will depend on how many tests they run. For HIV and VD it's $45.
My Doc gave me the grim look, then say, "U're playing with fire, you know?" :(
But he said that since I got no symptoms...only HIV and VD tests are needed.
Save quite a few $$$ liao...
Also since tests are conducted in-house at Raffles Hospital, results are out within a few days - definitely within a week. Doc said they're qiuie efficient in it.
I'm waiting for my results now..please keep (or start) sending Karma my way! :o
