All of here has cheonged. Having cheonged, we can distinguish for ourselves the truths and myths about prostitution from the view of outsiders or people who haven't done it before.
Prostitution is not some kind of vile business hidden away in the dark corners in the society you live in. It is in fact to you, a weekend fling or perhaps(richer members at SB) a daily service required to maintain your sanity and manage your stress level.
Therefore to cut the long story short, this thread is meant for the trivial and fun discussion of films and novels that involve or discuss prostitution in its context. How accurate they really are, funny truths, cliches etc.
Here is a list of movies that I feel have significant or major theme or plot that involve prostitution:
Pretty Woman
Risky Business
Eric Khoo's Mee Pok Man( local context!)
Taxi Driver
That's all for now. I can't think of anymore but I'm sure some of you guys know some more that are not mentioned here!
Do comment!

Now showing, Rated M18. Shows how proverty forced a young russian gal in prostitution. Eventually she got con into a foreign country where she thought could get a normal job and live with a man who loved her. Well...we all know what's going to happened.
There are a number of scenes where the director put the audiences in the prospective of the gal, looking at all her "customers" panting and trusting. Making them look quite "disgusting" even to us guys. :p
Makes me wonder if I ever want to become that disgusting looking man. :o

I was at borders the other day and saw some novels on prostitution, some very well-known by now:
Private Dancer
The Natashas
No Money, No Honey
Invisible Trade: High-Class sex for sale in Singapore
Jarkarta Undercover
Call Girl
Btw, thanks to Argentine for upping me! This thread should be buzzing with GL memorabilia in no time:D
