"I was a nurse at the accident and emergency department in a hospital before changing my career to be a cabin crew. My new job is exciting but I did not want to sit on the life-saving skills that I've learnt from my previous job. I thought I should still put them to good use and that's why I decided to volunteer with the CDAU. It is easy for me to fulfil the minimum hours required by CDAU as I have control over my off-days as a flight stewardess. It has been five years since joining the SCDF ambulance crew. I'd like to thank SCDF for giving me the opportunity to be a volunteer and I hope to motivate the young to embrace a selfless passion to save lives too."

I served my two years in SCDF and I remember her. She used to be at Paya Lebar Fire Station. One of my friends from PTP used to hang out with her. Not sure when she transferred to Woodlands.

I did try looking for her Facebook profile back then (yes, I'm creepy like that). Back then, Facebook had this thing called Graph Search, which has since been deactivated for privacy reasons. I won't go into the details of what it does, but it returned pictures of a wedding in 2009 and I was pretty sure she was the bride. She even looked like she had a bit of a baby bump, although that may just be her natural tummy. There were also older pictures with her bare face and it is vastly different from the picture posted, but no surprises there.

I swear I am not making any of this up. Maybe I am misinterpreting those pictures, maybe it's not her wedding, maybe she wasn't pregnant at all. It's all NPNT. But I think I'm going off-topic.
