Dear old birds,
Well, to raise this question means I hope someone can answer it in negative.
Do we have to produce NRIC, PASSPORT, CPF statement and SingPass? Is there a way to get it anonymously?
Thanks.

Hi bro...as per your request, here's the model answer in a negative style to act as your reference...You don't need NRIC, PASSPORT, CPF STATEMENT NOR SINGPASS to book a hotel room...Such things are meaningless to the hotel staff nowdays....
However, do bring along your Birth cert (your parents' name to act as guarantor in case you bonk and run w/o paying the FL)....Your latest Income Tax assessment or your bank statement to prove that you have the means to bonk a FL (I think there is a minimum benchmark, do check with IRAS or the bank for clarifications).....Your student pass if you are still schooling so as to get discount from the FL (subsidised by your school)...I think thats about it....
Oh yes...most importantly, do get a receipt from the FL to claim for your income tax rebate for your next year assessment or your parents can claim on your behalf if you are still schooling... :D

Dear Bro Sinopeppy,
Sorry to see that some of the bros decided to make fun of your simple request for assistance. The answer to your question is yes, you have to show your NRIC to book a room (2-hours / transit room). Same thing whether you book a room in Geylang or elsewhere (like Hotel 81).
It has nothing to do with you not paying the girl. But the hotel need to register everyone staying in their hotel, so don't worry about it. Off course, in case of a civil suit (eg. your wife wants to sue you for divorce), the hotel may provide a record that you booked a transit room on that date/time.
Happy bonking. Just take care.

you need to produce your NRIC for all hotel booking. Last time i remember H81 have a membership program which they give u a membership card which you just need to produce whwn checking in, but now they change the system liao.
Or you can go to those small hse which you need to pay $10 and i don't think you need to product any IC

Preferably that you pass the practical exams as it is the most important criteria because it means you had hands on experience...its okay to fail the theory part as you can always bring your textbook with you everytime you bonk a FL (in case you need to do last min research to locate the g-spot) :D

I think your NRIC no also register under membership card system. Only you no need pay deposit when booking room lah

I believe the hotel won't anyhow divulge customer info unless it's police with official warrant.
Why? You intend to murder someone in a hotel room?

Danm! Didn't know there's student discount! Missed my chance!:D
Well, you can always enrol as a private student to retake your 'O' level just to claim your student discount...Its just like so many PRC FL came here on student visa to earn $$$...Likewise, we can enrol as student to save $$$ :p

Last time no need show i/c to book, but the regulation started 2 years ago.
Now can pay $10 to register as member of H81 chain. The counter will scan the bar code behind i/c, and will be given priority and can get bigger room. ;)

Some hotels allow you to use Tranitlink card or cashcard to pay also... so
remember to bring. Join them as members like MacDonalds and can exchange
for rewards.

Damn..............you're lucky you came to the right website to ask this question............ok lah...........share with you a little known secret well-kept in this Forum and the Hotel Scene in the Whole Wide World...........when you sign-up to this site, you are automatically entitled to a special package offered only to SB Users like you and me............Please read below conversation :
Procedure for Non SB User :
Counter Staff : "-Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- Sir. How may i help you?"
Non SB User : "Hello -Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- , is there any rooms available now?"
Counter Staff (After checking availability of rooms) : "Yes Sir. We have rooms available now. Would you prefer a Standard Room or a Deluxe Room?"
Non SB User : "A -your room choice- please"
Counter Staff : "Sir, Would you like a Queen-Sized bed or a King-Sized Bed?"
Non SB User : "A -your bed choice- please"
Counter Staff : "Ok. By the way Sir, do you have any Membership card or Discount card?"
Non SB User : "Nope"
then the Counter Staff will ask for your Name, Contact number and Cash Deposit ONLY (NO Other Info) before handing over to you your room key. With that, you can now go to your room.
However since you are a fellow SB User, there is a way which you don't even need to give your Personal Info nor pay for the room.
Procedure for SB User (you lah):
Counter Staff : "-Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- Sir. How may i help you?"
Sinopeppy : "Hello -Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- , is there any rooms available now?"
Counter Staff (After checking availability of rooms) : "Yes Sir. We have rooms available now. Would you prefer a Standard Room or a Deluxe Room?"

Counter Staff : "Sir, Would you like a Queen-Sized bed or a King-Sized Bed?"
Sinopeppy : "A -your bed choice- please"
Counter Staff : "Ok. By the way Sir, do you have any Membership card or Discount card?"
*Now, this is where being a SB User come into benefit*
Sinopeppy : "Yes. I'm from SB Forum, my Nick is Sinopeppy, my Points is -your Rep Points @ that point of time- and my Power is -your Rep Power @ that point of time-"
Counter Staff (After checking thru the data @ SB) : "Ok Sir. I got it. The amount for the room to be deducted from your Rep Points will be -Depends on your choice of room-. Here's your room key and enjoy yourself"
Sinopeppy : "Thanks"
And off you goes to your room. Simple

Hahah...this guy (or kid) really gave me a good laugh. I was even toying with the idea of upping his points.
Anyway, I have reformat his question in a way familiar to all of us.
Qn : What do you have to show to book a short-time hotel room?
A) NRIC
B) PASSPORT
C) CPF STATEMENT
D) Singpass (isn't your Singpass number the same as your NIRC ??)
E) All of the above (as suggested by the "and" in the original post)
Lol...the Singpass part is the best....i think NTUC should get into the short-time hotel business, and use an automated self-checkin system which takes in your Singpass/password, and then a key will drop out for you. To provide more privacy for the customers, only blangas are employed as room cleaners and thick curtains should be installed (like in Korea) at the front of the hotel to shield cars coming in-out.
But seriously, to answer the poster's question. There are ways to get in anonymously if you don't mind the quality of the hotel/room. (Read : some of the "rooms for rent" places don't ask for identity verification)
