Another discovered joint recently...
I was along Joo Chiat having prata with my mate and we were too much in the afternoon sun so we thought 'f--- it, why not go upstairs to this 天皇 for a quick drink. If nothing else, at least we'll have a story out of this.'
So off we went into this modest joint. For a start, beer was cheap. It was happy hour and the beer was going for, if I remember correctly, $25 or $27 per jug. Don't go for the tower because you get some pathetic looking thing that's more downer than tower.
Now, the girls - pretty happy with this. They got me a singer (a mix of singers and butterflies for both sessions) which was very very pretty.
