i'm going to Kyushu solo last 2 weeks in Dec (16 to 23/24 Dec) and prefer to travel with someone for the first part of my trip. it will be a road trip. we can part ways after that if you prefer. just trying my luck in case anyone is looking for a travel companion. will prefer to have several meet ups before the trip to gauge suitability.

Dont usually drive in Japan. JR is pretty good enough to get where you wanna go. Do go for Onsen. Too bad am only flying in on 23th Dec till 1st Jan. Else we can go together

Cabs are crazy expensive but snowy conditions will endanger even an experienced driver. I rather pay for you.

Sounds like any intimacy is more costly than air tix, food, accommodation and car rentals combined .... Definitely more expensive than taking cab from point A to point B. Which is Crazy expensive. Ok. Got it!
