I just received a call from a PRC massage operator asking me for help and thus telling me details of AV raid at Orchard Plaza.
On 26th Oct as usual, the massage/tuina shops at Orchard Plaza were operating their massage cum special. Business was slow (i suspect due to the low quality of girls and high price: massage quote $70 per hr; $40 for half hr).
Usually she caters to foreigners, ang moh and jap. But as biz was bad, lately she has been accepting locals. That fateful night around 9+ pm, a local regular came into her shop for massage. She went in with him and locked the door (which is her usual safety-first practice).
Action started: less than 5 mins after he paid the $ and stripped for the massage, she heard loud knocking of the door and shouting. The "regular customer" then showed her his police identity card and ran to open the door to let in the other AV officers (4 men and 2 female).
Everything happened so fast that she was too shocked to resist. They came in and then closed the door again. Many questions were asked; and they took away all her personal documents and particulars. The whole shop was ransacked for any hidden sex stuff and biz documents. Realising that she was caught by AV undercover agent, she knew that it was futile to resist or deny.
After about half an hr, she was handcuffed and escorted by the 2 AV female officers. According to her, there were 40 to 50 officers inside the building (to arrest not more than 8 offenders spread out among 5-6 shops). The AV is only interested in arresting PRC masseurs; local girls were not even questioned.
The arrested PRCs were led to 5-6 police vans parked along Orchard Rd. They were sent to Cantonment Rd Police Headquarter for questioning. She was identified by 6 of her "regular local customers". She knew the game was up and confessed to everything!!
After about 2 hrs of questioning at Cantonment, the PRCs were sent to Tanglin Rd Police; after another 2 hrs of questioning, they were sent to Immigration Dept for further questioning. Then they were sent to a remand prison (exact name she could not remember). All she could remember is that it was cold and dark.
On 27th Oct 5 pm, she was told to phone a local friend to come and bail her. The bail amount was $5K.
She has surrendered her passport and lost her study mama pass and in return was given a "white card".
She called me on 18th Nov for help:- such as engaging lawyer and MP as she does not want to go back China, she still wants her child to continue to study in Singapore.
I told her there is nothing anybody can do to help her; she should have listened to my advice to quit last year.
MORAL of the real life story: To all fellow samsters, if you have a PRC friend, lover or "wife", persuade them to stop doing massage/tuina and/or any form of sex services. Once caught, it is all over. To date, I have known of at least 7 PRC friends who were caught; of which 4 have been sent back to China, 1 "went to the US", and 2 pending court hearing.
