I think L J need to improve their cash advance service counter ! The service is really suck ! Most of the time when u need cash urgently, the gal will tell u no line .... whereas at R S, they really provide excellent service.

What i means by that is, if there is no line inside the counter, they will bring the machine to the open deck to get the signal ... and u got your money, very efficient !

Furthermore, L J service charge is the highest amongst all ships ... credit cards 6.5% and nets 5%. Also, whether u have 10 cards, you only can use ONE card and ONE time !!!

If i am not wrong, L W provide the lowest rates, 3% for credit cards and Nets. I think no restriction on usage of different credit cards, but only can use ONE time.:D

I was there a couple of days ago, taking the 8.30pm last ferry. Theres this guy brought along a really slutty prc. Hes gambling the same roulette table with me. One look at the way this guy gamble, you know hes trying to impress the prc gal. Both holding cans of beer and gambling by thousand every hand. Show off, hao lian.....by 4am in the morning ,i saw them again at a different table.....But this time, their stake was obviously much smaller. less than half an hour, they lose all they got and leave the table

Moral of the story......Concentration is important in gambling. With gals around, u tend to show off. Hao lian in gambling leads you to nowhere.........:D

feedback for the asian star is that currently the ferry timing is not so good yet, sometime it may take a longer time to reach the ship and sometime the timing departure of the ferry may delay.

Went Asia Star yesterday and lost 1 month's pay. Now feel the pain, should have use the $$$ to go KTV and bang a few girls. hahaaa....

Currently Asia Star is very inconvenient to go.

The transit is at tanjung pengelih a island in m'sia, takes about 50 mins to reach. Unlike when you transit in Nongsapura to Leisueworld where there are 2 berths for the ferry to stop alongside, there is only 1 at tanjung pengelih. U will alight there and the 1st ferry will move out to make way for the bigger ferry to come in which will bring you to Asia Star. All these wait takes about 20 mins plus. Though the journey from tanjung pengelih to Asia Star is around 15 mins, the transit time is long.

As for the games and number of tables, only limited to jackpot, 2 blackjack tables and the rest are all baccarat. (they don't have roulette, SKP, 3 Pictures etc) Should have all these in future i think. Maybe short of croupiers that is why.

The plus thing about Asia Star now is that it is quite grand and new unlike Lesiure World. Best of all, the croupiers are chio, mostly PRCs. A few of them used to work at MV Long Jie before. I managed to see my favourite croupier Jin Xing there, hahaa..

Think will not visit any cruise for the next 1 month... Losing streak is still there.

Consider this before you want to go to Asia Star.

Negative points: Restaurant and casino are next to each other. Food run out easily, with aunties/uncles cutting Qs. Another thing, they usually bring food in while gamble. Those punters who hate the food smell while gambling, take note.

For Baccarat players, there's a 5% banker commission even if you bet the minimum $20. For those min $100 tables, no 5% commission, but got B6 payout. Wtf. :mad: For those who play martingale system, the table limit is not suitable for you.

For roulette players, there's no live feed. All computerized one.


I can't think of a Plus point, except that the cabin was much spacious, but expensive. The lounge still okie. Currently takes abt 75mins to reach the ship. Casino on 8th flr

LW also upgraded their tables and re arranged the whole layout of 6th and 7th storey :)

You must have the time to go to the gambling ships, as the journey to and fro take about 3 to 3.5 hours.

Bro like you I love the thrill of gambling. Casino was my favourite place. Lost about 100K over the years. Luckily I have channeled my need for thrill to stocks and shares. Last evening I went down to Asian Cruise ticketing counter #03-49 in HarbourFront Centre and surprise to see many old aunties queuing to book tickets.

Friday night 9pm ship out price for non-members is $38 and 50% discount for cabin so 2 pax beds cost $40.

The counter lady told me inside got not much entertainment except is to gamble & gamble :D

I don't really agree too. I can alway up my stake when opportunity to win big arise. Other than that when risk big money when you are not confident.

I also played Paiza (VIP) Room in MBS while Baccarat tables is min bet $300 but what the point of playing until so pressure. Also I don't like to show off that I am big time gambler or a high roller.

Most importantly is to win money (more or less) not so important and cut unnecessary expenses like paying levies :)
