that's what i've been hearing too. but there may be the odd exception. one way is to say that you have this money commitment here and money commitment there. tell her upfront money is very tight with you. you can provide a comfortable life for her and yourself but not anyone else. if she drops you like a rock, you'll know straightaway. all the best.

Go see around, most girls with local thai man, and they are those day to day job workers or even ride motosai(mototaxi) to raise a kid and a wife, do u think they can supply more to the girl's families? Of cos not. Motobike need to be pay in installment liao...
If marry a foreigner and no money, may as well marry to a local thai man...right? we might say is wrong thinking n logic. Not all foreigner are rich and so is the farang, some ang mo are poorer than some local Thai too..but its the mind set lock in in their head since born....which is super impossible to erase from their head.
