Can accept Angmo

Hi Bros,

My boss wanted to try Singapore famous Geylang, can Bros help me to understand whether there is any problem for the girls to accept angmo and whether there will be additional demage for the $150 girls.

Foreigners = $200??. Was wondering how about those PRC or vietnamese man working in singapore? Will they be charge $150 dollars if they show thier blue PR IC ;)

Cat150 was originally $200. But due to low patronising rate and any other reasons, locals are being charged at 25% discounted rate from original price to SGD $150. For foreigners, they will charge $200. For instance, i used to bring my japanese boss to look for Cat150/200. They charge my boss $200 while they charge me $150.

Nothing of that sort ... this (local) discount has nothing to do with "low patronising rate etc, else each OKT/house would have undercut each other with lower & lower prices liao.
This practice is the same for hotels too ... "walk-in locals" get cheaper rates, compared to "walk-in angmos".

For the record, the "local discount" has been there since 15 years ago ... back then, the categories were:
CAT 200 = 160 for locals
CAT 150 = 120 for locals
CAT 100 = 80 for locals

The only time Adam Smith's Laws of Economics played any role in Geylang was when there was a attempt to create CAT250 (back in the early-90s) ... but this attempt was not met with success & self-destruct in less than a year. In short, the legalised red light district of Geylang is the biggest & only monopoly you'd ever find in Sillypore. :D

cat 40 once I brought a korean colleague there they charge 80 for 40mins instead of local where u can choose 40 for 25mins.... it is compulsory for them to do so it is like a standard practice for all legal geylang hses.

i don't know abt the Thai cat hses but fm my experience wif the GL150 hses, walk in foreigners may get the chop at 200, saying that GL150 biz appears to be abit off the boil of late so even walk in foreigners may well pay the same 150 "local" rate ...if they r wif a local who knows the OKT sld get the same 150 px...same goes for the regular expat clientele...

Sunny, i suggest u take yr foreigner boss down to hses like Gwee at 2034A or Yap's at 1606...both speak good english & sld not give u chop...

that is why it is impt to go to an OKT via reccomendation if u r a foreigner/expat especially ang mos...sheesh even locals hv been conned by some dirty OKTs before...

OK I am an angmo. I just moved to Spore. I have been going to the health centers here for a long time but I would like to go to GL. I live walking distance from GL. After living in Thailand for a while and visiting Spore alot I am used to paying higher prices but from what you all have said here it can be alot higher. I have walked down a few of the lorongs and looked for the houses but never knew what to look for. That is another subject. I am sure if I study up I can figure it out. But What I want to know is does anyone have any advice for me. Any other angmo's here that frequent GL? Are there any houses that are more Angmo friendly than others? I really would like to go to one of the Thai places. I was down on GL last week and ended up going to a massage place and REALLY got ripped off. I will post about it in a FR in the health centers section after this.

It's a very strange thing that whenever a foreign looking person in a foreign land, the local will +++ their chai tua...

I suggest you get a local to go with you and let him settle your bonk fee.. wat i meant was u pay him, he pay the OKT.;)

There was once when I was in GL150 house after I was done with my bonk, I was sitting down to have a cup of tea before I left. When I was about to leave, I stood up to take out my wallet from my pocket then my regular OKT told me to sit down first and don't take out my wallet. Within seconds, I saw a WL walking out with a Jap customer. To my surprise, the Jap fella was charged $350. Only after that my OKT told me that they have some commission given to tour guides who refer their Jap tourists to the houses.
