PM May Day speech already mention "entertainment outlets" and mass sporting events, and all others with close contact activities :D will need to wait longer to re-open. NRIC number and contact number. Not SingPass lah ... this one is for secure govt transaction with 2FA, they'd be crazy to use it.

IIRC a few years back there was overhaul of SingPass system to intro the 2FA and login ID. Because a number of accounts, especially those elderly, were breached. They won't want that experience again.

But this is not foolproof, because there is no easy way to check, that the declaration was actually made against the same NRIC number that was just scanned

Unless the roll-out of this SafeEntry tool is done properly, what will more like be the case is that MP visitors will simply enter someone else's NRIC particulars and show the Green Tick, Finish Fucking, then leave.

Today news mention HK has reopened mass venues and some close contact venues such as gym, cinema, beauty and massage. With capacity restrictions. But of course they had about 2 weeks of almost no local cases.

Purely entertainment biz like ktv still remain closed.

However to note that HK started their lockdown and precaution much earlier than us ... when one minister was still mocking them and their CE for wearing masks. Yesterday saw news about same minister now touting our local mask manufacturing capacity ... how much time has passed for the total reversal in thinking ... that is how long HK endured the lockdown before able to open up.

SafeEntry for large venues like supermart, I don't see the point. You go in, you could be anywhere, but don't know near the infected person or not.

Might be useful for small shops like barbers or spa. Exit scan needs to be simpler instead of keying in all the info again.

As for Trace app, they still have 2-3 weeks to work out the issues before the CB ends.

I have yet to experience any of the issues that are listed. True, bluetooth will consume more power but i my mid-range phone still ok thus far. Accordingly, the plan is to have all phones install with it. I read b4 about negotiation and plan to possible force download to all phones but not decided yet.
