In those days no such rules existed in China. Before that nobody touched China except for manufactures. Then when it became a good services market in mid 2000s, companies like mine rushed in and grab whatever staff they could find to bid for contracts back in their home country.

The guy "Uncle Frank" was from the local company tasked with recruitment. Basically he was having the most fun, since he was paid on quantity of candidates recruited. As you will see, for a guy in his fifties, he was groping neh neh and licking cb of potential candidates.

And the girls knew he was their lobang to join MNC firms, so a happy Unc Frank meant new job offers. The girls back then could not directly approach firms like ours except through a intermediary like him. Nowadays its all different, with normal structures of recruitment like in SG.

I don't think shows like this exist anywhere anymore with advent of technology and of course more transparent hiring policies from HR.
