CLUB V3: LIVE ON STAGE (South Bridge Road)

Former premise of Harem KTV but think no business closed down. Now took over by Club V chain to become a live Thai band pub with KTV rooms as well. Club V3 is on the left side of Cue Room Snooker.

Can't wait for it open. Thai music lovers will love it. Viet con gais lovers will love it. Haha. Those nearby pubs will stand to gain because this area will boom once the Viet girls start flocking there to work. :p If not it's pretty dead on weekdays over there. Very soon a Vietnamese food coffeshop will open nearby perhaps? Must really thank this kind of lasup bars to rejuvenate a "dead" place. Those doing F&B business in the vicinity will benefit. :)

URA is full of shit. Always "upgrade" a certain area but in the end all businesses disappear.

When I cheong I always consult Sun Tzi Art Of War theories. If situation, weather, resources, etc. is unfavourable I'll fight my "war" at another time and place to my fancy. If you know your enemies have set up traps at a certain terrain. Would you fall for it?

CLUB V3: LIVE ON STAGE is situated at South Bridge Road. On the left side of Cue Room Snooker. Pretty near Boat Quay. Personally checked it out on Saturday night. Opened since 5th Sep 2008. Newly renovated and has a posh feeling. Thai band members formerly from Cherry, Royal Pub and Thai Disco. Female singers are Almond, Leo and a few more. Haha boss Andrew also around hyping up the place. I do not know him personally but very friendly guy.

Band is so so. Only 1 male singer with dreadlocks sings really well. Thai PR/Coyote quality cannot make it. They need better girls. Most importantly even though this is a Club V chain. There are no Viet girls! Very disappointed. This place has the same concept as Golden Mile discos, Nana, Royal Pub, Geographer, etc. So far there is no place like 51 Jazzy where they have a Thai band and Viet hostesses. 51 Jazzy still my favourite. If boss Andrew reads this. Hope you change the concept to having Viet girls instead unless CID don't allow in the first place. Business will surely boom. All the NS boys will flock here from nearby Boat Quay when they score zero. Place is only 70% filled on a Saturday night.

Checked this place out last sat. it was their 2nd day of operation. just a brief intro of that place first. 1st level: thai pub, 2nd adn 3rd level: KTV, 4th level: wine bar.

1st lvl normal thai pub. area not very big. a mini stage for dancers and singers. didn't stay long in the pub area. just scan thru the area as my target was the ktv. dunno if the viets were hanging ard in the pub area not cos mostly i saw were thais. i think there were about 30 thais gals there, however heard from the manager that there should be around 70. Anyway went there at 1030 pub kinda empty, mostly GROs around. but when i left the place ard 2 most of the tables are filed. make a quick scan like only 4-5 girls looks acceptable to me. same like most thai pub. LDs concept. each LD 12 bucks. also a hang flower joint range from $10-$1000. dancers cannot make it. just stand down there swing here and there. dance like dun 1 2 dance.

2nd and 3rd level: KTV. To me i think the deco is like orchard road party world. kinda clean but not sure if it is new. Anyway if you are looking for hanky panky, this might not be the joint. not exactly sure if this joint can hanky panky anot cos i wanted to go 3rd level see see look look but was stopped, reason being no ready. but i see waiters always bringing drinks up. so it's up to every1 guesses.

Concept is open 1 bottle hard liqour free room (for big or small room). if order beers have to depend on the size of room. big room i think min have to order 4 jugs, small room 2 jugs. there's a TV from the room where u can see the singers and dancers on the stage at level 1. 2 mummy there, 1 thai mummy call cha cha and 1 viet mummy dunno what's her name and also never get to see her. anyway who cares, cos i thai lover. Mummy 27 yrs old, avg looking. but dunno why my friend so gain her always want her to sit with him. if want thai girls, have to call mummy then she will bring girls up from level 1. if want thai girls sit with you, have to buy min 5 LDs so min $60 bucks per lady. whether u want to tip them after the session is up to you. initially will stay with you for long time maybe and hour or so? that day i went KTV no pple so that's why spend long time with us i guess. there's a girl there (forget name) that sit with my fren. he feel she that looks like Dawn Yang, but i don't think so. anyway she also not bad looking, 18 yrs old. kinda fair for a thai. like her looks but dun like her way of doing business, like club nana GROs, damn pushy for drinks. even when her fren who came into the room to look for her and chit chat for awhile, ask us to buy drink for her which i dun like it. but her english is good. communication wise not a big problem. i sat with 1 gal that is a thai mix british i think her name is Gigi. also powerful english. can slang here and there 1. not that fantastic looking, fun to chit chat and play dice with. ops sorry to mention that fruit cost $10 bucks per plate, Nuts $5.
saw a few viets girls on this level. but totally cannot make it. Far from those in Joo Chiat.

4th level: Wine bar. heard from the manager that this lvl will be ready in 2 weeks time. purely decent joint. target only customers. cannot bring the in house ladies up. heard that there will be a foot spa. something kinda new. will check this place out once it's ready.

Today went Club v3 not bad for thai live band..girl at level 1 also quite pretty....
need to buy $10 flower for them and they will sit with you. Once of the boss is from U pub at geylang lor 40 lol. if just want to drink and chit chat with thai girl, good place to be there. if want other special haha don't hope for that, today i just asked a thai girl want go out and she said need 30 shot.. 1 shot $12... count yourself how much that it to bring a girl out. she herself also said expensive LOL :D

Of cos..When a new joint opens up, the gals they bring in will not be aggressive on LDs..Couple of months down the road and undergo training most not all will become LDs sharks don't u think so...
There no free lunch in sgp so is this place too.
I see it will follow TD or LI concept soon.
The gals will be pushing for LDs now or later.
Anyway u just enjoy there while it lasts.......

Here's some insights to this place cos i'm a regular there, been there for more than 5 times since opening. Maybe I had seen or even know some of SB bros there b4.

There are 5 bosses in all. I know 3 of them, one is Andrew (boss of Club V2 in GL lor 42) another is Peter (boss from U Pub in GL lor 41) and the other one is Alan (boss of Oldies in Yishun).

If u know them, they will charge u $169 for matell otherwise it's abt $198. The rest I not sure cos always drink martell. Fri is super full hse but not Sat, dunno why. Will always reserve table from one of the bosses before i go, just in case no table. Always sit in the front row, near stage. Maybe bros here might have seen me there b4.

"Flowers" range from $10 to $100. 11 person live thai band. Male singer, Alex, damn good. First day open, told him to sing "一百万" but replied dunno how to sing but will learn, then last Fri he sung. But not really accurate in pronounciation but it's already damn good for a thai to sing in Hokkien. Thers's also one gal singer not bad & quite good looking, Fah. The other gal singers only avg looking.

There's 30 thai PR gals provided by a thai agent. Not those pushy type. Depending on your luck, some will ask u buy 2 LD (tequila shots) or even more at $12 each and they will sit with u. So far I only bought 4 shots from the same gal. Dun get mixed-up, not all selling shots there are thai cos there's also a SG gal selling shots at the same price.

Never been to other levels except disco level. Heard from the boss, PRC gals coming soon for KTV levels. Total 16 rooms including one VIP room.

Opening hour is from 3pm til 3am except Sat til 4am but they might revise opening time to 5pm soon. They also gonna apply licence til 6am in about 2 mths time.

I think in time to come there will be FL Viet gals also cos now quite new. So far only one viet gal is working there but not FL, only selling "flower".

In my humble opinion, this place is better than Club de Oasis and Bangkok Disco cos those 2 are too rowdy and ex.

Went to V3 last Wednesday, reached there about 9 and saw about 10 girls sitting next to the entrance.
Girls and guests start coming after 9.30 and by the time I was drunk, all the tables were taken up.
Only realised it was packed while I was on the way to the gents. :D

Quality of girls were not too bad under that ambience for an old man like me. :D
Furthermore I'm colourblind especially to dark colours.
Girls were mostly 25+ y.o. I guessed. At least those at my table were in that age group.

I haven't been pubbing for a good 5 years, so I can't really compare it to others.

Have been to this place a number of time since it open this month,this place is getting more and more happening.From thai band to thai GRO they are improving know what the customer likes and dislikes.Just happen to sit with a GRO last night face wise is 80% like Maggie Q and it very happening.I was quite high already when she approach me ,i buy her 2 shot chit chat a while and i bring her to the 4 level where it still close and start to do some hanky panky business for about 20 min.Personally find this place quite happening will go a few more times to explore further will keep all bros update.:):):cool:

atmosphere...dark enough..i like....typical clubb99 alike, shop house style. stage not too big..similar to club99 also. hehehe. band...so so, gals not so stunner as LI, nana, but long haired guy singer is good. good chill out place with live band, cheap beer $30. but gals are a bit desperate in LDs, but guess this is also a norm eslewhere. parking is a problem...so must walk walk. guess this is the draw back. oh, bosses are friendly, mix with the crowd often, be u a cannon opener or beer jugger, unlike some bigger places where the boss only attentive to the canons.

The live entertainment was good though
