My profile:

40+, gym user, single, Geylang cheongster, PES A Infantry, working in healthcare and have a personal trainer license.

Pills don't work anymore, ED since born, but pills helped till 40+. When 1 pill failed, I double-pill, worked for a while, then double-pill also fail.

Injections I don't like and don't want. I wanted a solution to end it all. Being a cheongster, I want to have my fun.

Purpose of this post: giving u bros info that is very hard to find or impossible to find online and sharing my own experience.

Fact: A lot of people when they are unhappy about their penile implant, they DO NOT post online. Which means that whatever you read online is likely to be written by people with good experiences with their implants.

I will tell u the good and the bad.

Before you post any questions for me, I suggest you get some basic knowledge via Google and Youtube first.

I am trying to keep this post as short as possible; easier to read.

Other great sources of info:

1. https://www.franktalk.org
2. youtube: all videos by Dr. Jonathan Clavell on implants
3. Reddit

1. Firstly, find the best doc you can find.

My doc is Dr Ronny Tan. https://urology.com.sg/dr-ronny-tan/ You want your penis and balls in the best hands. This is not a simple circumcision. I am also circumcised.

2. Not everyone is a suitable candidate

First bombshell: Doc will need to ultra-sound and do blood test and interview you. If you have diabetes, you are at a higher risk of infection (infection is a BIG concern; explained below)

Doc will run through many other options (pills, devices, injections) with you before you decide on implant surgery.

Pray that you are a suitable candidate for implant, otherwise you will have to stick to pills, devices, injections.

3. Which brand/model of implant is the best?

You will have to do your own research at:

https://www.franktalk.org
Youtube
Reddit

Mine is the Coloplast Titan. I am very happy with mine and my doc.

4. Super painful on Day 1 and 2 of the surgery.

I consider myself a tough guy. The pain on Day 1 is probably one of my most painful moments in life. IMO, If you are allergic to NSAIDs, you will have a very hard time.

5. Week 1

Expect a lot of pain. Aleve (Naxproxen) over the counter works very well for me. If you cannot stand constant pain, discuss medication options with your doc. If you are scared of pain, forget about getting an implant.

Sleeping will be painful too, unless you sleep fully on your back. If you sleep on your tummy, I think you can forget about getting an implant (explained below).

A lot of swelling in dick, balls and lower abdomen (where the saline reservoir is)

6. Week 2

For gym addicts like me, I tried going to gym day 9 after op. Not recommended if you don't know your body, skip all exercises that requires core. You DO NOT want to get a hernia. Do not engage core for bench press.

7. Week 3

Your mind will play tricks on you. You will keep worrying about your girth and length. Don't worry; what's done is already done. You can only control things that you can control. Don't think and worry too much. Because there is a LOT more to fear in Week 4 to 6 LOL.

Work: If your job is not physical or don't need to walk, then day 9 - 11, you probably can work (with painkillers of course).

If your work is physical, you probably can work from day 15 onward, but of course lah, be careful of hernia and you should know your own job's intensity, always better to take more work leave and heal more. You DO NOT want to go back to the operating room.

Circumstances that you need to go back to operating room:

a. Most scary: infection. If you have diabetes or any condition that causes you to get infections easily, you need to be very careful. Infection that cannot be cleared via meds = RE-DO surgery. Please go read up. I think it's like 2% and the chances of getting infected for re-surgery is even higher.

b. The pump and release device "climb" up into your pelvis/abdominal and you totally cannot find them. This is very unlikely to happen IF your surgeon is good. Your surgeon will also explain to you the drawbacks of having it TOO low in the scrotum. (Basically it will interfere with your daily activities a lot more)

8. Week 6 - 8

Your doc should teach you how to use the pump and release button. BE VERY VERY PATIENT in learning. It will be frustrating, regardless of which model you choose. You MAY need to see your doc a few times to learn how to inflate and deflate.

My experience with Coloplast Titian: Very easy to inflate. Very hard to deflate in first 2 weeks of learning, simply because it's "very hard" to find the button. You HAVE to trust your doc, if doc tells you device is working, that means you need a LOT more practice when learning deflation. From what I know, the AMS700 is easier to deflate BUT very hard to inflate. My experience: Once you get the knack of deflating the Coloplast, you'll know how to do it forever. In short, I love mine.

Twice during week 6 - week 7, I failed to deflate and freaked out because I can't go to work with full boner. My recommendation is simple; choose a good daily cycling time, ensure you have enough time to "explore", rest and try to deflate.

9. Pain is normal till week 6 (and maybe even longer); you will have good days and bad days. You'll gradually eat less and less painkillers.

10. Cost

Around 45K, including many appointments with your doc at various stages. Consultation, Assessment, post-op, learning how to use pump and release, checking on your healing process, etc.

11. You become a Shower

You will stop being a Grower. The implant, EVEN if deflated, takes up space in your dick. Also, it will not be 100% deflated after you press the release button, read that again. This is NORMAL and expected. Youtube shows actual men inflating and deflating their implant. Take note of how the deflated dick looks.

I had to get new underwear. Check departmental stores that usually sell to expats. Usually they have underwear for guy with bigger package. You may have to get new pants too. Maybe you can't wear tight jeans anymore.

I have a smaller dick so my dick is like 20% erect ALL the time, with tip pointing down at 5 o'clock position ALL the time. (When inflated, it's 3 o'clock aka horizontal.)

Yes, your hands can feel the 2 silicone semi-deflated tubes if you squeeze your dick.

12. Sex

I was able to have sex on week 5 but it will differ from man to man. It goes without saying: The first few times will be difficult (since you are still learning how to inflate and deflate) and sex will feel different at first. Take your time, things WILL get better. Your body needs time to adapt to the device. By week 7, I was having the best sex of my life, focusing on having fun without ever having to worry that dick will ever go limp. After you cum, the dick is still rock hard.

13. Check if you have cold glans problem too. If your ED is so severe that your penis glans DO NOT get engorged with stimulation, the implant will solve your erection problem BUT WILL NOT solve your the glans problem. If you can cum before the surgery, you can cum after the surgery too and vice versa.

Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwAvz1IucSU

14. If I had a choice, what would I have done differently?

Nothing. It was generally smooth if you are patient. BUT lotsa credit to great work by my Doc and clinic, and lots of good info from www.franktalk.org.

great info bro, but 45k seems a bit too steep, i email this doc below, total feels like around 20-25k only, he's quite reputable internationally.

Your dick; your choice bro. :) I am not sponsored by anyone/clinic.

South Korea?

Don't forget there are post-surgery appointments that may be hard to do via tele-medi.

If you cannot inflate OR deflate implant, the South Korea doc/staff also can't fly to SG to help you.

Also, I had a number of pre-surgery tests/consultations too. Foreign clinics doing for foreigners won't take such care. and probably ask you to sign something to relieve responsibility from their side.

If you already agree to fly to South Korea/or any other country, of course the clinic/doctor will do the op. Make money.

India / Thailand even cheaper too, if anyone is keen.

One year already! Super happy!

sorry to bros who telegram me, i missed out on replying to many of u. Telegram's fault lah, keep flooding with "XXXX joined tg" messages

DM me here lah, but i don't log in everyday so expect slower replies.

Update:

No news is good news

3 - 4 times sex per week, wife and WLs

Wife loves it, so does my regular WLs

Dick is hard.

To increase pleasure to sex, i.e. blood flow to glans, sometimes I take 25 or 50 mg viagra, more pleasurable climax since mushroom is more sensitive

but not essential at all, can totally have sex without pill

Using mechanics to solve mechanic problem of dick not standing, physics for the win

I only pray implant will last as long as I want. But will definitely endure pain again and do surgery again once implant expires and cannot use.

Bro Doctorcat, any age limit to do the surgery. If there is, must plan to do it younger.

Bro Doctorcat, any age limit to do the surgery. If there is, must plan to do it younger.

If you are diagnosed with ED and not getting hard morning wood and not getting daily hard erections via sex or pcc, your penis is already being underused and under stretched, and the penis is a use it or lose it part, so that means your penis is already regressing , so yes , have the surgery the earlier the better, to preserve girth and length.

Many YouTube videos on this

Pills doesnt work well on me anymore. Vaccum pump also tried to no avail. Injection i never try before. But is a hassle and price too costly and i tired of popping pills with min effect.

Can we still opt for penile implant even if doctor deem individuals not fit for penile implant yet. And i read from google, alot of myth or reports stating after penile implant, yr kkkj will shrink and lose the length. Wonder if is happen to your case.

The only concern for me is if in future i opt for penile implant, how to tell my workplace boss about my hospitalizaed leave and my parents about it as from what i see from yr timeline the healing periods takes at least like 2 weeks?

Every solution has its drawbacks. u need to decide what is priority in your life.

just say u go for minor op like vasectomy

If u tried pills and pump and none work well, IMO, the next best thing in implant.

I never lost length or girth. but I was never very hard since born.

Most docs will do op for u, especially if they are the surgeon. Who doesn't want money.

But if you are a high-risk individual or not fit for op, aka your diabetes is v high, of course, the doc's duty is to educate and inform you of your risk. part of his profession.

do note, the longer u delay, the more your dick will shrink, i am sure u already read that or saw videos.

How pain is the pain? im allergic to voltaren. A type of painkiller. And most implant maybe last 10 years or more? meaning we had to go through at least twice surgery in our live i guess?

Just say hospitalized leave and provide mc.
You have your right to not disclose everything sensitive about you…unless your boss chao kuan.
As for parents, can tell them doctor recommended surgery after a regular checkup, and to not take risk and rest more.
All the best!

The pain I think I described quite in detail on my op.

Dick area is meant to be sensitive , so it’s natural that the pain is intense and long.

Voltaren is a NSAID - so remember to tell doc. There are other possible painkillers you can discuss with doc.

If you research on franktalk, guys there have used their implants for 12 years or more. There is a small research on guys with 20 years old implant or more

My pov : enjoy life lah

Don’t worry about the second implant

Maybe you won’t like sex anymore in older age

Maybe I already in heaven already lol

Ur doc probably want to make sure ur problem is not a mental issue

Many guys cannot erect because of stress , tiredness , mental block, the need to perform, etc etc.

The harder a guy stress about being hard, the more soft the dick becomes LOL

No, my doc did not force me to see psychiatric but we did discuss very throughly my problem, the history and all the meds and methods I have already tried.

Keep me posted here , I actually very interested in your journey in getting the implant

Bros helping bros always a good thing

Mine could be combination of physiological and physical. I did at TTSH about a decade anot and test came out all normal and doctor just deemmed me as stress issue. but they ever do the penile doppler ultrasound test. Doubt just mental issue, if not couldn't i dont have morning woods for more than a decade. But what yr doctor diagnosis? venosk leak? Can u get natural erection or cannot at all? i only afraid doctor did all test and say im ok again then end up dont recommend me for implant. Those online so called " TCM male supplement i also tried. but i believe those contain sildenafil also, just not sure how many mg.

All TCM supplements are just that , “supplements”

If they can solve ED, then western medicine or penile implant would have gone out of biz already.

If you don’t have morning wood for so long, confirm the problem is not mental

I never had morning wood, even when I was a teen

My libido not affected though , so as a teen , I am equally horny as my bros

Yes, venous leak for me. My natural erection before implant or meds is v weak and cannot sustain for more than 1 min if i don’t stroke it.

I was also never hard enough for penetration when i was with girls in my 20s.

If your doc don’t want to do surgery for you, find another doc

could it be pelvic floor muscle tightness? have you ever encountered tightness inside the groin?

there was 1 period of time where I encountered not able to cum, and sometimes when I cum, I can feel extreme piercing pain in the crotch. other times I feel difficulty in getting a erection, and medication doesn't help.

then I chanced upon a thread on ED in samsforum, where a OP discussing on this issue. then I slowly did my research, see a few TCM to adjust my pelvic bone, acupuncture to loosen the muscle, and it gradually became better.

though now I could not hold my load as before, but at least I felt the sensation of ejaculation.

you can search pelvic floor muscle and erectile dysfunction and you can see the cause and effect.

1 thing to note, is do not do kejel exercise when you have tight floor muscle, otherwise it will be worse.

this was my thread, and Noll helped me in my issue.

Those online so called " TCM male supplement i also tried. but i believe those contain sildenafil also, just not sure how many mg.

could it be pelvic floor muscle tightness? have you ever encountered tightness inside the groin?

there was 1 period of time where I encountered not able to cum, and sometimes when I cum, I can feel extreme piercing pain in the crotch. other times I feel difficulty in getting a erection, and medication doesn't help.

then I chanced upon a thread on ED in samsforum, where a OP discussing on this issue. then I slowly did my research, see a few TCM to adjust my pelvic bone, acupuncture to loosen the muscle, and it gradually became better.

though now I could not hold my load as before, but at least I felt the sensation of ejaculation.

One step at a time. Every checkup u learn new things , hopefully all works out for u

My urology appointed me for penile ultra sound in September. I tried see the psychologist. But I can feel that all kind of bullshit and doesn't help at all. So maybe not going for the next psychologist consultation already. For the ultrasound, urologist refer me to andrrology department. But never send me for blood test though. Based on my previous blood test record was like 6 to 7 years ago. Maybe tats y doctor never send me for blood test.

Just my 2 cents and not medical advice:

If you have ED long enough, you can more or less tell if the problem is psychiatric or not.

Same for stress.

If the problem is really psychiatric , maybe the solution is not through psychiatric too.

Imagine you have to psych yourself before sex? How much time do you need to psych yourself before sex? lol

IMHO, that gives me even more stress lol.

True. More stress then end up no mood and cannot be arouse.

I heard psychogenic Ed also more or less hard to recover through sex therapy. Last resort also end up with penile implant if the condition is severe.

Just went for penile ultrasound and seen specialist. End up i got venous leak. But not sure how big is the leak. Doctor says current gov don't have the technique to perform operation to seal up the leak. Only private hospital. But costs quite expensive. Can up to 20k. What he can do is to find a specialist to do scan for me to further detect where is the leak coming from. He says blood no problem inflow but outflow issue. That's why pills sometimes also cannot maintain hardness.

For now he prescribed me cialis 5mg n viagra for 2 to 3mths and see how it goes. But I already told him i tried those also no much effect. The most can do doggy position. He suggested I buy penis pump and ring. But I declined it, will be a hassle to use this before sex. Last resort is implant but he says I'm too young for it. Youngest patient he performed surgery was 45 years old. For my age he want try other solution first. As the implant last 10 years only.

I did asked why I have venous leak. He quote saying born with it. For implant the basic one costs around 11k. Only 5k medisave and 6k must be in cash. The atas implant, around 15 to 20k cash.

After so long finally found my root cause.
