A foreign freelancer was nearly raped yesterday. As she’s on a tourist visa, she has not made a police report, which is exactly what the rapist wants.

I did. I told her that, according to what she told me, there were hotel cleaning crew who saw him enter her room, and then heard her screams, so with all the CCTV, he would be arrested in a day.

But she said she’s in Singapore on a tourist visa and doesn’t want to be deported - I told her it could be a vague “failure to comply with visa requirements”, and she didn’t want her family to know she’s a) escorting and b) almost raped.

Not sure if she'd want to but she can reach out to Project X also. They're a non-profit group that does advocacy for sex worker rights, including when they have been abused or taken advantage of. They have their own team who maybe can help her while keeping her safe too.

The chance of alerting him to go hide is dam high
