Low in testosterone

Hello,

I recently went to see Dr Tan of OUB centre.

Blood test shows that i have low testosterone. i am 34 years olf only. dunno why this hormone is low. possibly due tomebeing overweight and seldom exercise not to say weight lifting.

he recommend me :

1. take pills
2. gel
3. injection

injection, is the one he recommend. $400 per jab and need to jab every 3 months.

i very xian after hearing this. i dun want to be controlled by the jab for the rest of my life. if it is a one time treatment, still ok.

The pills seemstobe more expensive. and the Gel is similar price as the jab but slower effect.

So, any brother in similar situation as me? take any natural testosterone booster?? many claimed effective but some says has serious side effect.

Nowonder, i felt so tired and lost of sex drive. and i think i have been like that for like a year liiao...

Any suggestion? inputs?

Are you getting sufficient sleep? That's one possible reason.

Re: Low in testosterone

There are quite a number of articles linking low testosterone levels to not sleeping well and/or not sleeping enough.

Take a look at, for instance, http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/topicoftheweek98.htm .

Green oats has been touted as a natural way to improve testosterone levels. I take it as a supplement but don't really know how effective it is.

Levitra works for me when I need to perform.

Brother, I think your problems are dietary and lack of physical activity (excercise) as well as sleep deficiency and stress related.

Re: Low in testosterone

after doing some research, the jab really frighten me...seems that there are lots of side effect and there are some indication that it might cause prostate cancer...

hai, i rather have low testosterone level than getting any of the side effect.

i guess, i will try to do more exercise, sleep more (how to be with SBF ard, heehee), abd try natural herbs like green oats, maca, horny weed etc

I agree with jasdude.

Lifting weights will help you gain muscle, and more muscle mass = more testosterone. Eat healthy too - meats, vegetables, and don't forget the essential fatty acids (EFAs) like fish oil. Cut out refined and processed foods, and sugars.

The way to go abt restoring testosterone levels back to normal is to teach/make your body learn to produce more of this hormone. By injecting yourself with testosterone, your body would produce LESS, and you'll keep relying on jabs. That's not ideal in the long run, as you're still young.

I'm actually surprised your doctor's recommendations. Perhaps u may have other health considerations.

Brother, have you always had this problem? I mean I've never heard anyone disccuss this before or ever read about it. Again, I do think if you lead a halthier lifestyle it would be better for you.

I also don't know if i am Low in testosterone as i also feel tired easily and no sex drive or urge. Havent see Dr to test but i have been taking the GNC megamen supplement and the horny goat weed as supplements. Besides i force myslf to go gym exercise and run at least 30min at spd 8-9.

So far improving as got urge and can perform when needed and less tired. I on stress due to work and love prob as well.

Bro start exercise and take some supplements ba, dun go injections unless its a last resort not immediate remedy.
