The sponge is not popular because it's ineffective at preventing pregnancy and STD/HIV infection.

there are pills that can be prescribed by local doc to postpone n delay the menses. .... not sure if this helps in ur circumstances

Whats wrong with a condom ? There's no reason why you cannot use a condom during her menses. In fact, its good because it keeps your dick clean and blood free.
