this boon lay sec sch teacher was caught filming a gal's upskirt and kenna jailed. During the trial, defender psychatrist said it is a mental problem saying the condition is "characterised by repeated and intense sexual fantasies or behaviours concerning the act of watching an unsuspecting person who is naked, disrobed or having sex", which has "clinically significant distress or impairment in work, social or personal functioning".
Isn't that the characteristics of my behaviours? Am I also significantly distress or impared in work, social or personal functioning?
Most samsters here would also classify under this group. Really, I just feel these psychiatrist are jiak liao beng(eat waste rice).:rolleyes:

Psychiatrist are know to be nuts. Even if a guy has no problem they will say he got a problem. Most of us here not kuku like the teacher as to go round filming people on purpose. At best if got free show we watch.

murder, rape, robbery, obscene acts... all these people go to court face the judge will need psychiatrists' help. its how they get a reduced charge or sentence.

if the psychiatrists always say those people (or anybody who seeks psy help) are normal and without any mental problem, many psychiatrists may be out of job? :D

do you admire someone who make his living by telling stars? OR look at people's palms?
In a court case, it is common to see psychiatrists on both sides, defendents and prosecutors. Each sides will have their own theory to help their clients. Science is not like this. In science, white is white, black is black. You cannot say until black becomes white. But in psychology, you can do that. Although mmany ppl try to make psychology into a proper science(like BF Skinner), psychology can never become a proper science like physics or chemistry becos results are non-repeatable in the experiments.
I'll make reservations on commenting the profession, but I give other people the benefit of the doubt...

wasn't clear with your 2nd condition. Which one? I guess the watching other people having sex? As you mention, it is a matter of controlling your desire, meaning you(and me, and US) have the desire. Just that we do not go and take the photos purposely. WE can control ourselves.
That teacher have the same desire as us, but cant control himself. So i feel he should be punished becos he does not respect women's privacy.
But what I dun like is that the psychiatrists say people who have these desires are socially incompetent. That is not the case.

Well, lets put it this way... this dude, I mean, this guy is being charged. Maybe he got no ill intention... but he was caught in the act.
We all know all men have desires and self control... but without any psychiatrists speaking up for him - imagine what's his charge...

Moreover, such social science dudes got to follow protocol one... play, play lose licence one.

no ill intention? Do you know how many gals I seen on the road I like to screw them there and then. But I didn't because i respect them. I dun wan to cause them hurt and make them traumatic for the rest of their lives. But this guy invade their privacy. Desire is desire, but when he did it, he has ill intentions already. Even if it is not to share with us, but just by invading the privacy, it is ill intention already.

yeah loh i agreed . It a matter of controlling our urges . I also working in a sch environment. Imaging seeing all the gals during their PE lessons or other sports eca .. Waot..... but have to control lah

I doubt anyone who is into such things want to get caught.

In the army.. we were banned from using camara phone.. looks like this trend will hit the schools very soon... :)
