Anyone interested to be my hiking buddies?
Open for man or woman or ladyboy, no sex involved though.

Most important thing : can sleep in sleeping bag, can build camp & camp fire, can cook with the dry wood, healthy & adventurous. :D

Mount to hike : Mt. Semeru or Mt. Rinjani in Indonesia
When to hike : early January 2015

Can I counter propose to hike bukit timah hill? ;)

Hi there, I'm planning for a backpacking trip next year March. Already got most of my gears and sleeping bag as well.

Your camping hiking trip sounds interesting. But the date is too early if it's in January.

Care to share more details?

It's still plan, so not much detail yet. But I already scheduled the hiking on January, even people said that the weather probably rainy which makes it more challenging.

My dear sis lala, din know that you suddenly liked outdoors activities. Remember to be safe at all times. Rainy season seriously is not a very good time. However I will be wishing you all the best wherever you are. :D

Do you know that hiking and hitch hiking is two different activities?

I always go for low budget one which usually takes longer time, to train my endurance. So no jeep or tour guide. But if it's not just me, then I probably will find a hiking guide without no other facilities. :D
I'm poor lala :'(

I like outdoor activities just fine la kor. Even before sbf, just not much. :p
It's indeed more challenging to hike during rainy season. Slippery, wet, rain, and possibility of landslide.

Hi Lala,

Raining and hiking may sounds like more fun, but I have a few unfortunate expenditures in rainy seasons and I can speak from experience to it is no fun at all.

Basically you can't set up camp of the ground is soaking wet, your sleeping bags will become waterbed in no time, and you can't built Fire to cook or to keep yourself warm..

Well it's just a friendly advice. I haven't got any idea on how long is your hiking trip, maybe you not planning on camping and no need for fire... Oh ok I saw the duration now, so you do need fire and sleeping rough. So sleeping bags won't be enough even if you got tent, because the ground is wet. you will have a hard time cleaning / drying your gears and equipments later on. Also, you won't be able to cover much distance in the rain.

Do reconsider.
