Good guide. I did the same too. Almost exactly the same. I used to travel to bkk for work regularly( and soon to be again hahaha) and was often alone. So I tried many different methods.

Another way to add is that I will go to a regular place like a cafe or book store (places that the thai think is ho-so) and ask for direction or recommendation of food here. Said a friend ditch me so im having lunch alone. Just be norm. Like asking a friend. Secure their line and ask them out.

For club wise, I usually tip heavy at the mid start of my period there. Not when the bottle just come, but slightly 1 hr into my time there. Or I tip lots of time at the start. Give yourself a budget of 500b. If i know im coming back the next 2 days I might not slightly more than 500b. Aim one or 2 waiter or waitress. They will help you.
