You very fast before I cant find the website you found it. It is girl friendly this hotel. They also have short time like our 81 Hotel. Short time is USD20 per 2hrs. Either you provide your passport or the girl provide her ID can do already. You are quite right, Fortuna you can get at USD69 + USD10 ++. This hotel usually takes the spill over from Fortuna. If you want to bring girl to Fortuna also can but have to pay USD69+USD10+USD10 and give girl ID for registering.

Yes, I have stayed there a couple of times and also many short times. The rooms are so so only. If you compare what you are paying USD50 inclusive breakfast and ++ with fortuna USD69+10++. The only plus point is girl friendly and the beers and food is cheaper.

The massage joint only provide HJ (USD10 ~15 depens on ur nego). For room service, the massage fee is 2x (USD30) and there is special. I kena "cut carrot" at USD100 for one shot :(

I think best go KTY at basement. Alone also no problem, can still choose and sit in the open area. Then easi to check out the gals (I heard got 300). The damage:
Drinks = < USD 10 / drink
Gals = USD 21 Just for sitting with you
Action = USD 60 (For short time inside your room) Can nego for overnight

AirAsia eyeing more cities in Vietnam

HANOI: AirAsia is eyeing landing rights in two more Vietnamese cities after its maiden flight to Hanoi yesterday.

Group chief executive officer Datuk Tony Fernandes said the company recently submitted a proposal to have flights to Ho Chi Minh City but the Vietnamese government turned this down.

He said the second destination that the company was interested in was Da Nang.

Fernandes said AirAsia saw great potential for budget flights in the country and wanted to expand the number of destinations there.

“We have been providing flights from Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi through Bangkok and we have been seeing a lot of foreign tourists using the flights,” he told reporters after receiving the passengers from the maiden flight at the Noi Bai Aiport here at about 7.30pm local time.

He said direct budget flights to Vietnam would attract tourists from the Asean region, Europe and the United States.

new discovery

We went across the bridge to Gia lam (North Hanoi) yesterday . .

About 3km from the bridge, came to Hong Phuc which is just at the entrance to the Snake village.

Its a Ktv cum A-Z service..

Went into KTV room, girls come, each choose one.. comes in drinks and lots of tidbits. Girls proceed to tear every single packet of tidbits.. we drink beer and soon girls asked us to go to room next door.. for A-Z.

Summary:
Girls: 6/10

Damage : VND900K for Ktv (and those tidbits)

Karaoke at 14 Thi Sach

This is south of Hoan Kiem District (Old Quarters). Its a big karaoke with rooms that has better sound system than most of other places. They also provide hostesses.

Arrived around 8pm, escorted to room 402, 4 of us...

In comes the drinks, then the girls.. I got one called Diep Anh. As usual I choose to ignore the girls and let them make the first move while I focus on making sure my guests are comfortably engaged with their new gf. Second time round back at Hanoi KTV, initially wanted to check out King's Palace KTV at Lakeside Hotel but my fren wanted to go back to Hanoi KTV to look for his girl.

DANLY hotel just besides Daewoo Hotel along Dao Tan street. It was raided about 2~3 months back, police came, opened all the rooms doors without warning, make quite a few arrests, girls went to prison and guests deported, 2 days later in news paper ;-)

Their prices not cheap, better for u to stay Fortuna or Hanoi and tar pao from in-house KTV, if ur party budget is such.

In school, we learn English, we use Longman dictionary.

In Vietnam, u will need the LongHair dictionary.. and u will need to look for one that has zero English vocalburary so that u will really be able to learn some Viet. That's how I learnt my Viet ;-)

Only 3 international hotels (and 1 Local big hotel) here allows u to tarpow back girls and the girls have to be the one working in the KTV of that same hotel. These girls generally charge about US$60 ST and US$80 LT. But u have to go fish them from the KTV first and if u fishing alone from bar counter, the average cost of 1st night fishing can set u back by about another US$50. Assuming u get a girl that can speak some English or Chinese, they will also be talking US$ to you from that moment onwards. So if u are the type that like to catch nice looking goldfish from the Fish Tank.. then this option is for you. So summary goes:
International Hotel rates per night:US$80~160
Fishing at Fish Tank:US$50

Hoa Binh hotel is at Ly Thuong Kiet street. A few happening local KTV near ur hotel, but not exactly walking distance. Check out Le Van Huu street from the map. U can try 20 Le Van Huu, quite a fun place actually.

If u just want a nice pub to hang out alone, try Saloon 17 at 98 Tran Hung Dao.

Generally most of the int'l hotel can get nternet access. i know Fortuna Hotel also have that access in the room.

But even cheap motels come with internet access and its free!!! Except theirs is shared by everyone in the hotel, usually near the lobby.

There are also many internet cafes on the streets. They charge roughly 5-6k dong per hour and that is very cheap.

can't help with u with Sunny hotel as I'm not sure even where it is tho' i'm now staying inside the Old Quarter.

Oh Ya, BTW, not into KTV and you may find the FR abit boring.........more like a trip report.

Date of arrival, 16th Jan via Vietnam Air last minute booking and it cost me SGD420, so no complain. Anyway, much better than Tiger Air with the cramp sitting arrangment. Arrive at Airport at about 1830hrs, whizzs into the cab and headed straight down to Oasis Hotel to meet my fellow client whom are a couple of hours earlier via SQ. And had dinner with my client and supplier, souldn't wait to hurry back to the hotel to await the "sg local of Hanoi" Sir Dertrai's arrival. As per his request, we visited Saloon 17... Well Sir Deptrai says its a foreigner joint so not much may happen and slowly but surely I am learning about the Hanoi's culture.

Saloon17, a typical pub with live band flooded with foreigner with pricy drinks. As we were seated quite deep inside, the handphone signal got lost ( to all bro's indoor hp covergare is very bad in Hanoi ) So I did not receive Ken 7 's call and sms until we left the joint. As we headed to supper, I have requested that we will eat and taste local food so off we went to a back alley where they serve this dark vegetable chicken herbal soup. Yes the surrounding is never pleasent, dirty? somewhat. Taste of food, don't try don't know so without hesitation, I drank it anyway, compare to when I first work in KL, the place is no where near so no issue for me.... Sir Deptrai, Bird Flu in Vietnam and still take chicken??? You dare to reccommend I dare to eat. Return to hotel at abt 0130hrs , log on and send my apology to Ken7. Well with only a couple of hours, what can I do??? So sleep alone la.

Day2 :
Full day meeting and factory visit with only 4 hours of sleep, I think I am doing OK.. with daylight, I now have a better look at the city... It's definately better , cleaner and safer then Batam... Let me comment this, the people are polite , not the japanese kind of polite but sincere kind of polite to maybe a foreigner and a tourist like me.. As all meeting ended, we have request our driver to send us to the hotel that Deptrai had reccomended.... It's ok if its spring, summer or autum but winter, it's freezing even for me that can take this kind of chillnes with only a long sleeve shirt . Anyway, Sir Deptrai made an arrangment for my customer with an 8.5 rating ( sorry detail cannot be disclose ) So we headed of for dinner, in the market where we had steam boat... Again, Dirty? Yes. But again nowhere near Pudu market where you have the pork stomach soup so no issue for me. But food is good... very good . BTW Sir deptrai, what brain was it that I took ? Pig Brain or OX Brain ? I can only say my client was so desprate to return to his room after the dinner and Sir Deptrai had to meet some friends at some local joint so I asked him to bring me to local pub and he showed me this place ( Yap local joint, Sir Detrai, don't know the name of the joint but it was fun ) Shortly after he left me in good hands, yes lots of handsssss , my supplier came so that why it's not convinent to meet Ken7 and the rest. I had a good time there as all the waitresses were drinking with me, let me count 1 2 3 4 5 6 yes 6 + 1 waitress supervisor as I am very relax that night, I am more approcahble so lot's of them stick around and started feeding me with fruits and nuts. Dish come , we eat, dish come we eat and we drink , dish come again and eat again until the last dish, usually soup then they start serving rice... ) After the dinner and a few drinks, the local supplier started behaving in a rowdy manner so we decided to skip the later session and return to our hotel. As I had promise her that I will see her, We went back to the same pub again and it's within walking distance, 3.5 minutes walk to be exact. She was like so happy to see my return and she came out of the bar counter and accompanied us the whole night and instructing other waitresses or maybe telling them we are good fella and can have fun with, so this time round, there is like 13, 14 maybe 15 waitresses surrounding us at any 1 time cos there is very little customer that night and I was really playing with them like nobody business and there was like at least 8 of them are rated 8.5 and am damn young, abit too young for me and there was this twin there that is at least 9. But what ever that is, lights out and time to go, as usual, only my gal came around and the rest never appear. my client was disappointed but maybe he was hoping for a hit thats why he don't get 1 cos I did not hope for 1 but I got it. I am somewhat a well travelled and a tone down down guy. Be it Asia or europe and till date, there is never short of amazement, excitment and always something else round the corner . We are fortunate as a singaporean that were bought up in such clean , proper and well pamper environment that when we are out there as an individual or a small business investment, we moan about this and that .... Believe me I did the same 17 years ago when I first left singapore. I learned to be humble, learn to mix with local and if I need to use my hand to eat, I try and learn. I also learn that having too high an expectation usually follows by higher disappointment.

Quoting the ONS that I had, I did not expect it, I did not look for it but it happened.... Eating in back alley, in smelly market (believe me I had worse in KL, Bangkok and China) eating unknown stuff that is being handed to me, beliving in my ONS will not take me to a place to rob me(sitting behind as a pillion rider having no control over the motorcycle's direction). It had been a fun and fullfilling adventure that is pretty unforgettable for me. Having SIR Deptrai to give me the pointer ( previllige of a senior samster;) ) extenting his faith and willingness to share, what can I say more about this site since being a member during the delphi's era...... We look at each other's posting, if its pure nonsense that I had posted, maybe Deptrai will not even bother. The spirit of sharing and caring during the delphi's day had deteriate since we were moved here. I sincerly wish that we as the samster can keep this alive ( having said all this I am still not admitted as a member in the private section.... :( sore )

Hanoi had been wonderful to me and will return there coming march. Whether from my boss or on my own, I have decided to spend a week there and live like a local and start learning the language today.

I have calculated, out of the 4day 3 night trip, minus the hotel and drinks, eating all the local food and pump petrol for my gal, I had not spend more then 30USD which include buying her a hat and a pair of glove cos it was really cold 1 night when we were out.

Amongst all the samsters I have spent time with, you are the BEST. U see, the MAIN reward that I am looking for when spending time with visitors like u is for these people to contribute to this space here and keep this Hanoi tread alive. But at least about 70% of those I spend time on totally did not contribute anything at the end of the day, total disappointment!

To practice ur "rotten" vietnamese.. (which I am damn glad u wanted to pick up the language).. u will need to go buy a Vietnamese Kit consisting of a book and a CD. Skip the front part which is dry and boring and start learning numbers and how to buy things first. Then learn about other words and a simple sentence construction. if u practice dutifully first 5 chapters of a 17~20 chapters book, you can ignore the rest of the book and start practising with a Viet person. This way of learning will ensure that ur Viet will NOT be perfect, in fact it will sound ODD, but I guarantee that the girls will love it!

The place to practice in Singapore is Joo Chiat, for JB i dunno. Anyway, beware that those Viet in Singapore are mostly so commercial that u will begin to feel withdrawal syndrome of the sincerity that u experienced in Hanoi. So do not expect too much of a true heart when in Singapore.

One more thing, those Viet in Joo Chiat are mostly from Southern Vietnam and so their pronunciation is very different from the North. Hope to see more of ur postings soon ;-)

Sheraton Hotel

Someone just PM me about Sheraton Hotel and I thought i might as well post the info here for the benefits of all.

Sheraton Hotel is run by a malaysian team and it is not guest friendly unless u pay US$80/night extra to book the girl another room. However u can try the following 2 methods to get the girl in

a. Get her in during the day before 5pm, remember to ask her not to be too dressed up so that nobody could really tell she is a WL. Once in the room, she better not get out anymore until next morning.

b. When u check in, check her in as well and let them know that is ur "wify".

The above 2 methods works only if u have a regular lobang there, does not apply to ONS.

Around Sheraton...

Just outside of Sheraton is what some samsters called the "Expressway of Death" that leads all the way to Sofitel Plaza further South. Along the way, some good restaurants and Local Ktv. Apparently those Ktv quite happening one but not like those in PRC, its actually quite run-down. I was there last week, came in at 10pm, left at 11pm, then call the girl that was sitting with me at 11.30pm and ask her out for supper. She agreed and finally we even had breakfast together... for free ;-)

Further North of Sheraton is the infamouse To Ngoc Van (check the map). Its about a little less than 1 km north (actually can work if u are not alone, 2 guys would be a good number to start with). A bunch of "Hotel 81" style with pimps sitting at the entrance to invite u in.. foreigners are charged about VND400,000. Think of it as Cat40 but u can have up to 1 hour if u like ;-) Some ladies there speaks Chinese.. try to get those..then get their phone numbers.. the next few nights could be free if u can get her out.

Thanks for the info and directions to the place. Actually it is quite close to Trung Hoa Nhan Chinh, a few boss ktv girls stay there. I will check out the billard table and fridge and waitresses on my next visit. Finally getting to drink some staut. Usually I am around that area near to New Town Hotel 2 at 218 Tran Duy Hung. Quite a good NEW Hotel for short time and long time also and girl friendly and man friendly. Some customers from boss ktv will bring the girls back to this hotel for short and long time.

There are quite a few Local KTV along the stretch of expressway from Sheraton Hotel to Sofitel Plaza. Few weeks back I went to one of those.. room was quite basic and sofa was bad. Came in beer and girls.. the one sitting with me was very young.. about 19, average looking farm girl.

we stayed 1.5 hours and left at 2300H. Then i proceed to Nutz bar for a beer. At 2330H, that girl who sat with me called me and asked if I would like to take her to supper ;-) Eventually we had breakfast together too before I send her home. At her apartment, she wanted action again.. so 1 more round. When I leave for work, she did not even mentioned or hint anything about money. Of course I am not that bastard, seeing the apartment she lives in, of course she needs money to survive. Which I had already slipped VND500k in the toilet roll in her toilet knowing that she will be pleasantly surprised the next time she does her paper work in the toilet.

One week later, she invited me to stay overnight at her apartment.. which i gladly did. Action whole night and next day before I leave I slipped some money in a different location in the toilet again.

What surprises me is that in the afternoon I SMS to ask her if she has located the money and she said "What money! oh, so it was u the last time!?"

Moral of the story... U can get a lot of interesting fun if u venture to the local Karaoke and stay away from those places that speaks US$.

On a more "serious" matter, I found a local inn that's very girl friendly. My girl for that night had NO id and they let her in (after she pestered them) AND provided protection! I cannot remember the name of the place but I can give you the address:

65 Le Dai Hanh St. The alley is inaccessible by car so you'll have to take a 20 sec walk in. Warning: no cabs available in the area, so you'll just have to take a motorbike cab back to your place.

Agree with bro Deptrai, stay with the local KTV. No English/Chinese? NO PROBLEM. Cheap, decent enough (hell of a lot of stair climbing though) and still can have fun. Can also improve your Vietnamese. ;)

Got! sure Got!.. The room is similar to a 3-Star, clean and new. Cost is only VND300K per night and got Internet in room included too. In the hotel got Sauna and masssage service too. have not tried to get girls from massage into room though ;-)

However it is not guest friendly, if u stay there for 3-nights and u want ur regular to stay with u, u should check her in together with u and explain that she is ur WIFE! it works!

Then back for long break during the Tet here and now back here again. Golf Courses - I believe there are only two near Hanoi - place called Chi Lin which is about 1 hour drive away.

Girl Friendly hotels in Vietnam are allways the small hotels that have rates less than US$30. Try Heart Hotel in old quarter.

Im new in Hanoi. So basically if any of u si beh sien sit at home nothing to do can PM me if interested to hang out, have a few beer here n there. Am residing in Old Quarters area. Went to this pub called Corner Bar just next to Intimax at Hoan Kiem lake area. Should have brought my ear plugs, music damn loud. Probably the area is too small, say less than 1500 sqf. Like a discotheque cramped into a small room, music very suitable for "feng tao" but doubt if anyone pop it there. They have a small stage in front of dj counsel & 3 ladies clad in bikinis dancing there last night. Looks are sexy but hard to tell pretty or not (probably cos its kinda dark there), saw one of them from near, with dark eye bags & as if never slept for the past 3 years...but dancing skills sux big time, very reluctant style, guess basically their purpose is to expose their flesh and make them steam enough liao. Me and my colleague had one bottle of beer each n left in less than 20min. We continued in one of the pubs along Bao Kanh Str. Well, wouldnt recommend this place but no harm paying a single trip just to check it out.

Heard this place from a friend who visited Hanoi some time ago. Its a pub with mostly uni girls work as part time waitresses. Didnt tell me the name but said its along Pham Ngu Lau Str near Army Hotel. Anyone has an idea of the existence n whereabout of such place?

Rate about USD40, have jucuzzi bath tub and ADSL in the room (free), with breakfast too. Rooms are very clean and new.

Thx for the reco. I've been to Century once, guess it was like couple of weeks back. Fri n Sat night would be quite happening. If im not wrong its on Trang Ti Street. A local friend whom I met at some pub brought me there..those who has cars will usually park at the car park adjacent to it, to my surprise the car park is actually a public library in the day! It operates till the wee hours of 3-4am cos he told me the local authority or some big shot govt official has some shares in the joint. Basically a clubbing joint for young n more spendrift group of Vietnamese. Quite a number of ang mohs there too but usually hangs out around the bar...why? pick up or get picked up by FLs lo, what else. Witnessed a fight there between 2 groups of Viet. Sure bcos of chics but im impressed with the way n speed the security guards there suppress them n drag them out..not sure it was kung fu or karate they used. Music not bad, sexy in-house dancers on podium. Dont mind visiting again if any bros wanna pay a trip there.

Fortuna and hanoi hotel are ONLY girl friendly to those girls who works in the respective KTV! room rates check at www.asiarooms.com

Melia hotel confirmed NOT Girl Friendly but apparently there are many ways to sneak the girl in.. e.g., get her to dress nicely (looks like a sales person and not a chicken). U book the Executive floor and she can meet u for a drink at the Executive lounge at Floor 20, then proceed to room from there... However this has little chance of success if u went to KTV and pick a girl up and come back to the hotel at 11pm with her. Its best done before the sun sets.

So if u are able to speak some Viet, and have been to Hanoi a few times, its still possible for u to check in with ur "wife" and register her as ur viet wife. They will probably not ask for Marriage Cert if she arrives in proper dressing. or the other usual way is to get ur regular into the room in the afternoon and she stays there till next morning.

The rest of the girl friendly hotels are usually local hotels and they have to be familiar with you before they will allow your "wife" to stay with you in the room.

Ok for those who are new to Hanoi, welcome to the land of the hidden paradise. HCMC is more like WYSIWYG but over here, you will never know what or who u will see until u meet the King...HRH Deptrai. (I think i might persuade him to run for MP in the coming Viet elections...) ok enough of shoe polishing though its worth every inch of Kiwi shoe wax used.

Been out with him for economy rice at Le Van Huu. Food is pretty good and i must say those are the food you dont see often in a normal outlet. not sure if its prepared the traditional way, but by eating in that outlet itself makes u more hanoian than anybody. The squarish mince meat was our favourite though deptrai goes crazy on his vegetable dip in half boil egg squashed with chilli sauce. Other not-to-miss would be the fried tang hoon w crab meat and lala porridge (chau ngau) in that particular street which i have forgotten its name. The bia hoi places which he mentioned is superb...even for those who are not beer drinkers, the atmosphere would definitely enhance your appetite. One of my fav was the ox tail soup. Ahh talk about beef, the pho quen at truc bach street is wonderful...also highly recommended by our King. That particular place and the whole stretch of eateries by the small pond/lake is pretty popular among locals..

A few pointers...

Some "hot" girls at Fortuna who have spent 2 hours or more with you automatically feel they entitled to VND300k, so if u just give VND200K they will pester you for more. So if u are there with some customers/vendors and do not want that ugly scene, then just give VND300K on the safe side and avoid all that commotions as u already paid a hefty US$200~US$300 for the room and drinks anyway. In short, if u go Fortuna, do not stinge on that bit of tips for the girls.. so long all happy, what is a little bit more tips?

My Way cafe is a good place to bring ur laptop to work with free Wifi, good food and relax atmosphere in the afternoons. Never a place for happening girls. For that u have to go to Salon 17.

I personally, never stayed in Fortuna, but have stayed in Hanoi hotel a few time. Now have a little permanent place to stay, hee hee (don't ask) That's why cannot try Hanoi KTV gal 265...... I love the look and not willing to trade what's in hand. Unless kenna kick out.

One of my friend tried her, he said she a bit stuck up at first, then later clicked with my friend. Took her for the night, he didn't gave any FR, not a samster type. Chien Beo is a restaurant that is good for foreigners who like meat stuff and not accustomed to local tuff beef yet (like those found in fried vietnamese kuay teow=pho xao). The place is not suitable for fine dining, more like a authentic kopi tiam restaurant in Geylang, noisy and oily... As for the price.. i think its quite expensive, but maybe I kenna too localised liao that even when I eat economy rice in Singapore I also feel cheated ;-)

Anyway for the plate of beef its about VND120K. And when u are there try to ignore the seafood friend rice because I think it is way way way way way overpriced at VND100K!!!!!!!!!!!! And when they are taking orders, the waitresses have been trained the Mcdonald's way.. at the end of the order taking they will say :"so u want Salad and French Fries as well, right?" which will set u back by some more money. As the servings for each order is actually quite large, u will usually end up over-ordering if u are there 1st time. For a group of 4 people, usually just order 2 main dish, some bread and Hanoi beer and that should be enuf before u proceed for KTV and supper after KTV.

To eat tasty beef cooked the beefy way.. try Pho Sot Vang, beef kuay teow soup with beefy beef stew, yum yum.. and the best one I tried was the one behind Metropole Hotel across the road from MetPub. They open for breakfast everyday.

This is my virgin FR post on Sakura.

Finished work ard 10.30pm, go back hotel nothing to do. So decided to visit the renowed SAKURA. Walking along the street was quiet and the signboard was closed. I had to ask the security guard where is the message place outside the main road of SAKURA (since its my first visit).

Outside SAKURA looked nice and i walked in, the recept ask me which package i want to take. So as adviced, i took the 'massage' package -150k. Was brought up the stairs through the big living room down the hallway into the room (There isnt anyone at all!). As this is my first time massage, the feeling of waiting for the girl is exciting.

Suddenly, a lady came in, in late tweenties. I was disappointed (She is quite old and got poker face - from HCM, i asked). She asked me to take off my clothes down to the boxer. While massaging she kept coughing and say her massage no good...that i dont like her but say she is TIGER. I was abit sian but well, the purpose is to go and try TIGER. So finally waited, she pop the golden question "You want to to massage baby?" I was like ho say liew TIGER action, but i act blur lah...Me:"not sure, how much?". Girl" 300k" I was like??? Told her i got no $$$ and it was too expensive. She told me its late (ard 11plus) and 250 is her best...I then tell her 80k, (thinking of slowly jack up till 100k as adviced):D. She say 200k ...no less. I told her 100k....we ended up 110k! Muaha...Then the usual routine begin......

During the hj, TIGER kept looking outside the door, coughing and make farney faces (seems like someone was outside the door) thinking i didnt see. I tot since i pay for it, die die must tahan abit longer...Who knoes - after 10min, she say:" 110k massage baby so long, no good." Say her hand tired. WAH KAOZ....Feeling super pissed off, i told her no need to carry on (cos darmmm no mood). She say "Stop also 110k". :mad:

FYI, if u go upstairs right away, the package is 75K or used to be 80k. you only pay 150k if u stayed downstairs for sauna and pool dip first. There is also a VIP package at 350K where u do everything in a room with bathtub, sauna and massage bed.

Either case, if u can speak some viet, then the girls should not even start to bargain with you, but if they do, u will likely end up that kind of experience u just had... try a different method which always works for me.. when I go in, the girls could guess me a foreigner already, and when she asked me about massage baby, i tell her NO but I make sure I do that in a manner that is funny and childish and yet shy about it. The more u try to shy away, the more they want to catch ur CHIM.

This game is like you and a dog.. went u take ur dog out to the park and the dog got off the leash and start to wander too far away, the best way to get the dog back to you is NOT to run towards the dog. You need to get the dog's attention and then pretend to run away from the dog, at this moment, the dog will run straight back into ur hands!

So what to do when the dog catches up?

#1 and #3 seems to be in HCMC... #2 seems to be Bangkok so let me answer #4:

Restaurant Ngon (Quan Ngon) is at 18 Phan Boi Chau.. its just about 50 meters from Hanoi Tower along Hai Ba Trung Road.

Cha Ca La Vong is at 15 Cha Ca street in old quarters.. HOWEVER, i DO NOT highly recommend this place.. although the whole world seems to rate this highly.. i think lowly about them for a few reasons...
a. Food wise, nothing to shout about
b. service wise, sucks!
c. Price wise, way too high and they use various tricks in their pricing.. its too long a story to tell here but u will know what I mean if u try to estimate the cost of ur dinner when u are ordering and compare it with the eventual pricing u get on the bill.
d. place is not comfortable or nice to suit the price u have to pay.
e. Only foreigners who does not know where to go for good food in Hanoi goes there.

Pho Kampong Chicken - Try this at number 52(or around there) Le van huu. u can also find 46 Le van huu selling Mee Pok bak chor mee.. u can order in Chinese or Cantonese...

Bun Cha... my favourite is at 102 Thuy Khue (near west lake somerset appt)

Heritage Hotel, yes. there a massage place at the 5 flr. a couple of rm n the door hv big glass opening. From outside u can see what happen inside. There a stream n sauna rm. Gal r quite young n will ask for USD50but bargain down to V200K for the HJ, wonder is too X. Massage is USD10.

Will be going to Hanoi on the 7 to 8 May n HCM on the 9 to 11 May.

Too bad didn't meet up with any bros this trip. Some were busy & some went out of Hanoi. But I would like to thanks all bros who have contributed information of Hanoi in this SBF especially bro deptrai. It's easy for us who have not been to Hanoi.

Arrived in Hanoi via Tiger Air on 22/04 around 7pm local time together with 3 of my golf kaki. Headed straight to gals friendly Au Co Hotel (small hotel with only about 15 rooms) in West lake Tay Ho Dist. near to Sheraton Hotel. The reason why we book this hotel is because it's nearer to my friend office and most importantly, gals friendly. It comes with a clean and nice toilet, 25 mins to airport and 7 mins to Central & Hoan Kien Lake area. Where you can do all your shopping there. The address: 19 Au Co Road.

Hanoi is different from HCMC. The way they speak, the accent are also different.People there are so polite and nice. Southern people also but in a different way. Sometime they don’t even understand one another.

Basically Hanoi is surrounded by few Lakes and have 3 main areas. Lake side area on top, Central & Old Quarter areas right below. A small city & town area which is pretty easy to go about.

Day 1 part 2 .....................

Once we check into the hotel, we took a army trained shower (1,2,3 get out) hahaha... 30 mins dinner at Quan Chien Beo just across the street of our hotel with 5 mins walk down south. I remembered we order some hot dogs, beef, vege, bread & pork. The hot dogs & beef was very nice. Just a stone throw to Sheraton hotel & West Lake.

Hohoho... thereafter cheong Hanoi KTV (10 mins away from our dinner place) @ 8D Giang Vo Road Ba Dinh Dist. Next to Giang Vo Lake & near the Giang Vo Exhibition area. Because we were late, arrived around 9.45pm, not many girls to select. (I was told, big KTV in Hanoi like Boss & Hanoi KTV every night full house) Hanoi KTV (2nd big in Hanoi) comes with about 150 gals and maybe about 20+ rooms and a stage & dancing area with Live band.

Mummy brought in about 40 left over gals, not much choices, so each one of us took 2 gals to karaoke and drink Chivas together. My gals nos: 145 name Huong & 226 Lan both not bad but I personally prefer Ah Huong SYT (PM me i have her HP nos) We didn't tar-pow for the night, cos we proceed to Nutz place basement of Sheraton Hotel. It was pretty quite and nothing happening so we change course to New century disco (full house) near Hoen Kim Lake @ 10 Trang Thi Street, to try if we could pick up some gals there. But unfortunately non of us found any suitable gals n quickly phone our Hanoi KTV gals to see if they're available for the night. Oh my god....... too bad, gals in demand in Hanoi (lesson learnt) all our gals taken away. Decide now or regret later. Hahaha all of us went back hotel D.I.Y. for our virgin night.

Day 2.......

B.T.W. last night damage total to be divided by 4: Makan & Taxi Vnd$180,000 KTV US$200 & gals tips US$20 each (no tar-pow)

It tough sleeping alone, kekeke................9am meet at the 6th flr coffee house of our hotel for FREE breakfast. All arrows was pointing at me for not finding them gals last night. Quick breakfast (cause nothing to feedback about gals, which we normally share during breakfast session, whenever we travel to cheong)

Walk down south on the right turn about 15 mins slow walk to Thang Loi Hotel @ 200 Yen Phu Street Tay Ho Dist Tel: 84-4 8294211 for our Virgin massage in Hanoi. hahaha.......

The recep quoted us Vnd$150k for massage??????????????? We act as a old bird and pay them only Vnd70k for massage. (thanks to the info we gather from SBF again, thanks bros) All of us got SYT to molest our virgin body in Hanoi. Hahaha..... cos last night we D.I.Y. It was fun with all the playful gals but the problem is 1 chicken 1 duck conversation. Cos non of us could speak tieng viet. (we suggested to take up Viet language courses when we return) The gals continued to molest us and ask if we want to massage our kekeke... You guys should know what i mean right. Only 1 of my friend agreed and the rest of us prefer to keep our bullets for the night.

After massage, we walk down the street of Yen Phu and reach a local restaurant 15 Yen Phu St called Bia Hoi for local lunch. We notice that all the customers were serve beer while eating lunch. (something unusual) We got problem ordering our food, cos 1 chicken & 1 duck problem again. So agar agar point here point there and there we go for a quick lunch. (total damage Vnd100k) dirt cheap, with vege, fried chicken, fried pork & soup.

Took a cab to Hoan Kiem Lake for window shopping (b.t.w. only take Hanoi logo cab, other company cab the meter jump extra fast) about 1.30pm we proceed to a local KTV at 20 Le Van Huu (thanks again, recommended by bro here) reached there 1.30pm wow so early we start to cheong. A man brought us in (like a old shop house) go upstair 2nd flr. We check with him for the prices and gals there. Again Chicken & duck problem. finally only saw 4 so so gals and we dare not expect much from this kind of joint. Order our Heniken beer, drink and TCSS for about 3 hrs, damage Vnd660k & tips for the gals Vnd50k.

5pm we took a cab to Thai Ha wanted to try the Thuy Linh restaurant @ 12 Thai Ha St. When we arrived there, shock to see that it wasn't a restaurant but a Hi-fi shop. Walk around asking for direction but could not find it so we give up. Walk up and down Thai Ha St, we found a small shop selling (fried tung hoon with tow gay) looks good, we sat down and start eating tung hoon for our dinner. aaaaa very nice lor. Hahaha....... eat dare not spend, go KTV pay & pay tips like no body business.

Day 2 evening........
After dinner, we walk to 123 KTV (Thai Ha KTV) 5 mins away from where we were. Much bigger than 20 Le Van Huu. As usual, order beer & gals to see. Each one of us took one and start merry & party for the night. The gals there were playful, but honestly not our cup of tea. 2 hrs of fun there (damage Vnd400k gals tips Vnd100k) and we proceed to Boss KTV @ fortuna hotel 6B Lang Ha, Ba Dinh Tel: 84-4 8313333 ext 6611. Mummuy Hang sexy & chio.

We were there at 8pm, wow...... many many SYT to select for the night. Each of us took 2 SYT gals............... (no: 62 name forgot) can't remember the other nos. Ordered Chivas, started singing & drinking again. Honestly all drunk. (started drinking since 1.30pm) When I'm tipsy, I can sing viet song (Xin Loi Tinh Yeu by Dam Vinh Hung) I can't speak viet but when tipsy dare to sing viet song. My friends, mummy & gals were like....wow lau, this guy like real. But anyway, we're there to enjoy and be happy right............(damage US$300) Tar-pow gals back US$60 ST.

Went for supper at a small shop, Nha Hang Duy Hai (name of rest.) 13 Tong Duy Tan. They specialise in black chicken soup. Huuuu.... unbelievable shiok man. Cos we need some tonic man. Very nice chicken soup.

Back to hotel room, pet talk, shower together and action.........................till 3.30am

Day 3

Meet at hotel coffee house 8am for breakfast and de-briefing for last night gals. Only 1 of my friend said his 9/10 overall & surely RTF. (too long to write) The rest of us 7/10 overall rating. RTF no way, so many to fish who cares.

10am driver came, proceed for our golf at Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club. Nice beautiful course. Overall rating 8/10. Narrow back 9 holes.

Chi Linh SGCC have the best & well groom caddy. They can really read putting lines and distances. we enjoy the game and a tiring day afterall.

6pm back to hotel. We meet up again at 7pm for dinner. Tonight going to 14 Thi Sach karaoke Nhat Thong, so why not we look for food at nearby Ba Trieu Street, where they serve Asean food. Unfortunately could not find the place, which was at 53 Ba Trieu Street. (it's a bicycle shop) So we walk round the corner and end up eating at a rest. nearby. Van Long Restaurant (viet food) luckily the waitress speaks abit of english. Address: 65 Ham Long, Hoan Kiem. Tel: 84-4 8263426. Class & looks ex but damage only Vnd213k.
We ordered some viet food and just feel the stomach lor.

Ahhhhh. since it's near Thi Sach, just walk n turn right turn left n turn right again. We arrived at Nhan Thong Karaoke 14 Thi Sach where they really have good sound system as stated in the SBF. Took 2 gals each, stay for 2hrs, proceed back to Hanoi KTV again. (2nd time)

9.30pm reach there, sorry hor....... no more room. we sat at the main hall where we enjoy the live band and singers performance. Mummy came with about 30 gals. Dark & dim, agar agar took 1 SYT with big boobs. Of all places, she came from Saigon. I was telling myself, WTF come all the way to the north and cheong, selected a gal from the south. (blame myself for not asking mummy). About half an hour, mummy got us a room, went in, order drink and start party again. (funny thing is, in Hanoi KTV, they don't put our Chivas on the table but in a paper bag next to our table) We enjoy ourselves, and kind of like this place. I'm somewhat an entertainer, when come to KTV. Did the finger magic trick, show the guys & gays my 10 fingers, nothing there. Took a piece of tissue on my left hand, the next min, tissue gone. Took a lighted cigar, put it in between the hole of my hand. The cigar disappeared infront of them. Wow the gals were so excited that they almost torn my shirt n pants looking for both the items. Tar-pow back all the gals. Had supper at the coffee house outside. BTW Hanoi hotel coffee house also serves very good chinese food for supper. We ate there till 1.30am n back to hotel for bonking.

Day 4......

De-briefing during our breakfast at 9am. Non ou enjoy the gals except the same guy who say good. (maybe to him, a hole is a hole, no matter young or old. Hahaha.... just joking)

Had lunch at 248 Nghi Tam. Viet local rest. lots of office working class were there eating too. Ordered the wrong food, non of us enjoy it. So we call it for the day without finishing the steamboat fish that we ordered. Paid for the bill and move on to play golf.

We were so lucky that our friend could slot us in to play golf at Van Tri Golf Club. A brand new club, just open few weeks ago. @ Kim No Commune, Dong An Dist. 30 mins away from our hotel. Tee off at 2pm, beautiful weather like golfing in china. The caddy there carry a measuring meter to measure the distance between the ball to the pin. Very accurate measuring equipment. I'm sure all good golfer will love it. As usual, rushing to finish the game and looking forward for the 19th holes.

Back to hotel at 6.30pm, took a quick shower and headed for our dinner at "Cha Ca Thang Long" 21 Duong Thanh, Tel: 84-8 245115 It's a local dish originated from Hanoi (HCMC so big, only 2 rest selling it) Fish that were already season in the kitchen. A gas burner and a wok was place on our table and the waitress will cook for us right in front. We mixed it with some green vege, mee hoon (i think call cha) onion, chilly and chin-ca-ro. Very nice n tasty. We love it.

But the best thing for the night was, we met this Saigon Beer Promoter and i managed to get her HP nos and bonk her. It was very exciting, cause she could not speak english. I used body language to connect her. Everytime when she was serving us, i took out my mobile phone and show it to her pointing at her jean pocket where she kept her phone. Finally, she wrote her nos on a piece of paper and passed it to me, without my friends knowing it. We maintained eyes contact during my dinner and i contacted her the next day before we leave Hanoi.

1) Lakeside KTV just reopen but not many gals.
2) Daewoo KTV with only 30 gals but all very sexy, tall & model figure.
3) Apocalypse closed shop.
4) Nutz nothing much happening there.
5) Wanted to try Ho Guom Xanh bar but could not find the place.
6) Walk into a few Cat Toc Nam Thu but never try. Not our cup of tea.
7) Thuy Linh restaurant is not at 12 Thai Ha, somewhere in the corner of Thai Ha.
8) No time to try the rest of the place. like 17 saloon, sakura massage etc.
9) Language is the greatest problem in Vietnam, if u don't speak viet.
10) Total damage Hotel, Food, Taxi, Golf, Ktv & Tar-pow US$1300.
11) Overall KTV Boss & Hanoi are still the best (IMO)
12) Food in Hanoi 7/10 (no time to eat, spend too much time on golf & KTV)
13) Gals in Hanoi, 7/10 (too short the trip, to discover jewel in the north)
14) Golf courses 8/10 (challenging & better to glof during winter)

been travelling to Hanoi for few time but seldom venture beyong fortuna and the infamous boss.

been to HO Guom Xanh for 2 times.
that not a bad place to be in if you have a few good buddies to go along.
the local mostly just sit there thus i recommend not to go alone.
get a buddy and dance along with the waitress there. some are pretty but mostly average.

when i was about to leave, one waitress stuff her handphone nos to me and make a hand signal for me to call her.
when i told my lady friend(local) the following day, she said it quite impossible for the HO Guom Xanh waitress to give their HP nos. maybe my lucky day.
But i never call back and lost it subsequently.

i cant say much about other KTV as i dont venture beyond Boss.
for those who visit boss, mini. spending is about USD35+ that is if you just wana clock some lady manhour before bringing her out.
ST: USD60.00 (dont pay more).
LT: for me still USD60.00
selection :average 200lady/night or more.
the most pretty mummy there is Huyen( sorry i kinda bad in viet spelling) she is willing to solve all your gal problem.

For ST, there is a no hassle place to go, it call To Ngoc Van which I have written some reviews quite some time back. If u interested, I will take u there. I have PM u my contact number already.

The place is like that ; a local hotel.. u get in and go up the stairs.. many girls running around.. u grab one that u like, drag her into the nearest room, take a shower and take ur time. Without any doubt, Fortuna Boss KTV is truly the best Ktv in Hanoi with the most pretty girls. However in terms of Bang-for-the-buck ratio, its pretty LOW. In lay-man's term, its quite costly to cheong at Boss KTV. Cost analysis done in early postings.. for example, u will be set-back by about US$50~80 before u take the girl to ur room (which is another US$60~80).

For bros who wants to go straight to pay and eat the fish, this is the way to go. But for bros who enjoys fishing in deep sea, there are many many other much better and fun alternatives. For example, at local Ktv, its quite good chance of meeting someone interesting that can go back with you for anything like US$20~US$50 or even free is she likes you and you said all the right things(can be done with some training). And also a 3 hours session at such a joint usually sets you back by only US$15 (assume 4 bros goes and split the cost, this includes 3~5 beers each person and own room with good sound system and remote control to select ur own favourite songs).

The other thing about those gers in Boss Ktv.. they are quite commercialised.. surely they can speak English or Chinese a bit, but they will be using that skills to talk to you more about US$.

Last Friday, just me and ThunderPriest.. both of us went to a Local Joint KTV (for bros who needs details of that place, pls PM me. bcos now the authorities are doing various crack-downs and everyone is quite cautious)

Started the first song at 2030H and was joined by 2 more bros within 30 mins and by 2130H we had 7 cheongsters in the room liao.. including 4 Malaysians, 1 Sillyporean, 1 American and 1 Viet.

My dear American friend was singing Viet songs better than the vietnamese themselves and the rest of us booze and squeeze as usual. The girls at this joint are quite service oriented.. if u do not squeeze them, they will squeeze you ;-)

I manage to get a tall girl.. quite a nice girl who is totally amused by my silly behaviour and eventually the next day she even asked me out for coffee. I told her to meet me at Sofitel Plaza and when she arrives, she wanted to go straight to my room (thinking that i stayed at that hotel) but I just told her that I am not that easy type and I just wanted to go coffee with her. That is usually my trick to get them.

Anyway, back to the KTV session, nite ended at 2330H (3 hours) and summary as follow:

We spent more than US$100 per person and get nothing.
The ger sit with you, have to pay by per hour, excluding tip (US$20).
Need to spent alot of money before bonking.
Unless you are a rich man and have no where to spent.

In HCM, in the local KTV, you spent US$70.
At least you can get a bj and 1 carton of beers.
By the way, the gers in the local KTV really a very good drinker.
