during the Japanese bubble economy, the Japs showed the whole world their money power. But the thing is, they spent big money very quietly,

don't want to show off one.Now look at the Chinese, completely different story.

They want the whole world to know they got money, like spending big is something to be proud of. And of course, the population difference plays a big part.

Compare the numbers right, for every one Japanese spending money, you get ten Chinese doing the same thing.

The impact is huge. So in the end, wherever the Chinese gather and go, they definitely ruin the nightlife scene there.

Fact.Look at Bangkok's nightlife and tourism cost now, it's almost the same as Japan and China already. No longer a value-for-money holiday destination, seriously.

that is not true at all. the accusation of tourists from other countries being blamed for spoiling the market was a never-ending story in this forum. it has very little to do with the expectation of Thai girls created by PRC cheongsters.

I talked to many Thai girls. They really like China customer, very willing to throw money in.
Thai girls just quote price anyhow, China tourist are fine with paying.
In Pattaya, is a mini Chinatown. F&b, nuru massage, KTV open by China, target Chinese market only

Obviously you are not a cheongster. Lawry has seen it all.. even seen China businessman take over massage parlor. Redeco, do QC and jerk up price to 7k 10k to 15k one shot.

That may be true 2-3 years ago but not anymore.
Pattaya is now Mumbai land..... the Ah Nehs have outmuscled the Russians and PRCs out of Pattaya and taken over many of their businesses.

More than half of the Walking Street clubs are now Indian clubs.

I am not interested in your opinion of me and whether I know enough to be called a cheongster. I know there are some PRC who threw money around BUT they are not the reason the prices shot up in Bangkok and act of cheonging tourist, particularly people in mongering forums constantly lamenting about the increased prices and accusing others of spoiling the market is a never-ending story when the true real reason is that the country and its people has developed and changed and people expectation also changed with the growth and development including inflation. I don't think I need to remind Singaporean about how inflation has affected Singapore itself. I have said enough here. you can keep on believing whatever you want if it make you feel good.

This is my opinion alone being that i lived here for the past 6 years. Every country is boring when you frequently visit to have fun. A foreigner being first time going to singapore might think that, SG is a fun place. The same if you go to tokyo to visit their night life and you are woah, this is fun.

So my main question is, what is people here looking for? just a holiday with sex ? if so, then definitely it will be boring.

the old rich will remain rich cos their base is thick. They will be more prudent in Chin Land but once outside, they go crazy cos no one knows them, another portion of the spenders are the scammer base people who made it. The cash they have are way too much to go thru the banking system and a logistic problem so they just spend it like nothing. I do know a couple of this profile based in Thailand who will come sg to gamble for a couple days and head back. They cant gamble for too long due to the lack of cash they are allowed to bring in. They also take the chance to renew their DTV here rather than go back China.

I think bkk is still very fun and has alot to offer BUT its not thru the conventional means where prices have gone up.
Conventional:
- GClubs / KTVs to me its a waste od time. With respect to other bros who enjoy it thats fine. I still splurge whenever the right crowd is in bkk with me.

- Massage and Nuru joints: they still offer great value and service, I have no issue here if time doesn't permit.

Now, for me longer stays in bkk like if im there for work between a week or longer, I simply meet up with local girls in bars, clubs and where local bands play. I also pick up girls at shopping centres where they are working in cosmetics. Landing with someone immediately to go out then bang isn't easy nor happens on the same day. It takes a little longer. But there are so many, the best thing is, even if they ignore or reject advances, there is an ocean of girls outside the typical night entertainment joints.
That said, I will find time another day to share recent experiences unfortunately this method I choose does take time but I enjoy the 'hunt'

I agree with u, the game has changed. I spend longer trips in Bangkok now. Cafes are good spot to know girls and spend some time fishing them.. To me the returns are way higher than go to some spa/nuru.
