Well, I have like 2 friends whom are doctors. We were chatting causally when I ask 1 of my friend what he does if he need to see the 'privates' of a female patient.

Being a very truthfull friend, he did admit that while he was younger, it was difficult not to be distracted by a beautiful girl but both also confirm that once you start seeing it so often, you'll get numb (plus, you don't get beautiful girls everytime).

Frankly, I do believe what they told me. The reason for this thread is; based on the above, do you believe what doctors in general think? Will you allow your female friends/girlfriend/wife/etc to see a male doc?

Well.. no offence to any doctor or nurse here.
But I think due to the nature of their job, it won;t take long before they get sian of seeing the privates of male and females. Maybe if just started, will get excited especially if its young or pretty looking lady.

yes you will get sick of it. sure the initial few examinations as a student/resident/junior doctor might bring a temporary blood rush to your loins but after a while, you just learn to be professional and move on with it.

it's the same with using words such as penis/vagina/breasts/testicles to your patients, rather than common vernacular that people are used to using (like dick/cock/pussy/etc).

and mind you there are vaginas that look horrendous. I don't even want to go there but it's akin to looking at two slabs of steak, one that is fresh out from the grill with an awesome serve of sides, and another that has been left out in the open for two weeks. as a big lover of steak, even I will cringe when I see the second example of the steak.
