I am not sure about the stomach aspect but it can be true due to the following reasons
1. If her vaginal is "situated" more to the front, penetration at doggie position can be uncomfortable.

I think it depends on the depth of her vagina. well said. we have mainly touch on the physical aspect of this issue but really with woman, emotions are the stuff that really controls them and we should look at the emotional aspect to really know what they are thinking.
