hi to all bros here, i would like to share a real incident that happened to me just a while ago.

i was surfing through this website "locanto" and get to find a young girl with her number. i proceed to text her and her reply was like providing services. So i reply her location, and as the msg was pretty long, i din realised that she was 15 yrs old only, OMG, whereas in the web, she is 18yrs old.
About an hour later, i received a text msg from unknown number claiming to be her father, n wants to make a police report against me. 15 mins later, another unknown number called me and tell me he is the police officer. he wanted to press charge against me and asked me to go down to the police station the following day. he advise me in the meantime can call the father to apologise and ask him to drop charge. Called the father and requested for private settlement with him and he wants a compensation from me. I dont think i have a choice here right? what are your views

Bro don't be silly, the police would not call you using a private number, 2ndly why would the "dad" send You a text MSG?? If I am the dad I would have call you and F u upside down, lastly, the police can't charge you on anything, the most for sending "dirty" msgs. unless you have really bonk her then you are in deep shit, trust me bro, it's just one of those scam. How much did he ask from you? Just ignore the 'father' since you have apologies to him.

seriously check first. under law u are considered innocent as this is an invitation to treat by the girl who posted as a 18 year old. you have not paid the girl neither have u had sex with the girl. you are still innocent.

"locanto" got lots of "con man".... even when I post some classified to send some of camera or something.... they offer US dollar (much more than the selling price) for the old model and ask for the paypal account.

I usually play with them...until they give up themselves...

You have her text on providing services right? For all you know it could be a 100 yr old woman or 10 yr old kid, or a 50 yr old uncle. So as long as you have not touch her, then there is nothing against you. You should also ask for the name of the Police officer and call the station to verify.

Becareful, its has the smell of SCAM all over it.

then IMHO... U contact the gal & her father... if possible, also contact the so-called police officer...
Request all of them 2 meet outside the building @ "391 New Bridge Road"...
Tell them that, u need 2 meet up with them 2 have coffees... & settle this case face 2 face...

* If they really show up... just gather them & lead them in2 the office & make the police report together...

* If they keep on pestering u & refuse 2 meet up or don't agree 2 meet u @ the above mentioned venue...
then u may want 2 consider 2 make the police report 1st, & show them all the sms & contact numbers...
& u may consider 2 state that u'r being threaten (if they still want compensation for private settlement)...

Just text or call the 'father' and the 'officer' that you have already make a police report and needed them to show up, and all phone numbers submitted. Imposing as a police officer is already an offence.

1st time in my life i encounter Policemen becoming so efficient... 15 minutes after report lodge and they take actions ??? This alone is a tell tale sign of the whole incident being a hoax...

emmr, not saying our policemen are not efficient, there are other times Policemen are efficient ; that is when they are going after FLs (pulling hair and bras and all) and going after drunk drivers or drivers using their mobiles ....

Hi TS, this is actually an open and shut case. Reply to the text message from the so called father and tell him that you have already made a police report yourself and that the father will be contacted soon to assist in investigations on attempted extortion. Also clearly tell this "father" that you have passed his telephone number to the police as well, and also forwarded the text from this "father" to the police. Am sure that will make the so-called father sweat and panic like hell after that.

This is a clearcut attempt to extort money from you. As one bro correctly says, CNY is coming and some people will go through all sorts of methods to try to con people to get easy money. Don't worry bro, just don't fall into the trap.
