Can a high sex drive guy be faithful?

I want to hear from guys the possibility of a very high sex drive guy having the self control to withstand all commercial sex, flings etc and be a one women man? Anybody able to do that or just plain impossible?

And I'd say it affects all men. The difference lies in the extent of it. And that's why we see the phenomenal global rise of internet porn since high speed broadband became available which spills over to commercial sex and flings. Multiple video windows (or streets) full of highly attractive ladies from all over the world with enhanced bodies all crying for sex - Who could resist?

It is an unfortunate legacy of human males' evolution. Having a high sex drive would logically exacerbate the problem.

But this is from a purely physiological view. Humans are able to over-ride their basic instincts and suppress them based on their value system, beliefs and even fear.

But of course, it is not perfect, that's why crisis happens.

I take it that the highly sexed guy masturbates regularly and views porn? (almost all guys do, except those in the fringes of the bell curve)

Not sure if porn use would, could or should be recommended as a relatively harmless substitute for high sex drive. I can't answer that unfortunately.

Assuming they do, and into it in a big way, even the most sexually driven guy, exposed to excessive stimulus, such as masturbating X times a day, (hopefully, and not screwing different ladies X times a day - he will have to be really, really rich), will eventually reach a point where they are so de-sensitized that it affects their performance and encounters orgasm difficulty and/or erectile dysfunction. They just can't get it up with normal ladies anymore because their expectations became so unreal. (No clues as to when it may happen, could range in years)

The only solution then would be total abstinence, no stimulation of any kind, be it porn or masturbation or orgasm (P.M.O) until their minds are re-sensitized and they get their sex drive back with normal ladies. This period is usually real living hell for all guys, and could range from a week to months.

And hopefully, he will come to his senses, understand the limitations of his sex drive in order to manage it properly, stick to and offer sexual fulfilment to a single normal lady.

Not a comprehensive answer, but just from a purely physiological point of view.

Lastly, if all these are too academic and you wish to demand a single sentence answer, I'd just say

Drum the FEAR of STDs and threaten to reduce him into state of abject poverty via alimony and expenses would do the trick as well.

I think its a two way thing. If a gal knows her man is hyper sextive & keeps his sexual appetite well fed, i don't see him having any need to release elsewhere. But if she doesn't, then this is bound to happen

Well sister, my ex use to have high sex drive... When we were together, sex is a must everytime we meet (we meet about 4-5 times a week). If you can match up to his sex drive (or if he can match up to yours if you have an even higher sex drive), I don't see which he need to seek release elsewhere... Cheers!
