Actually this depends very much on situation and from time to time varies.. Jus last Sat I was discussing about "tippings" with couple of friends.... then i was saying should learn from a friend who don't tip MP ladies.... since ppl who visited Geylang also seldom tip the S$40 cat WLs.....
Then on Sunday I tipped a Casear Palace MP lady 500THB cos of her very good service.......

But I think tip and rate should be 2 seperate thing. Rate -- before service.... base on feeling, look and figure... Tip -- after service.... depend on how much she make you enjoy.. Ha Ha Cheers....

normally I tip 200 (if going to tip) for wl. for auntie cleaning room:50 bth waitress(waiter i don tip.hehe.during meals):100 tour guide is 500-1000 Reacher tipping habit last time: wl:600 and above aunite cleaning room:100 cute waitress:500 above tour guide:1000 above I go thai friend house with him sit sit he also give 'tip'.daughter 200.4 daughters=800.

By the way, the last choice is supposed to be M'sian - tip above 1000 Baht. I guess you guys would have already figured that out.

Bros, I also tip the lady B$1,000 in Hatyai but I don't call it tip but a gesture of my goodwill for her expenses. Ordinary service, I will tip between B$200 to B$500, but when service is good, I will give B$1,000. BTW, my standard of good service is quite stringent. You can check my threads in Hatyai After Dark FR on Hatyai and the most recent FR in FL Dome about a PRC that charges $50 for her service.
Anyway, I am on budget trip and not rich, otherwise I don't mind giving a little more tips if I can afford it. If service is below my standard of average, I won't tip. I do understand that some bros look very handsome like Andy Lau kind of standard and therefore there may be a perception that their good looks is already a tip for the WL. For me, I am not handsome and has been told repeatedly in S'pore by friends and relatives that I am fat, ignorant, old looking and quite ugly. So I have to make up to the WL by giving some tips. When I was in Hatyai, Bro TV, Prof and other bros keep on praising me for my "not too bad looks and not too fat body", that's why I have to go there to receive more of these propaganda after getting all the smacks and accusations of being fat and ignorant and ugly in S'pore from friends, neigbours and relatives. Hope more bros will also share on their tipping habits and their reasons. After all, like you say, different bros, different strokes. Quote:

i think very hard to rate tips... i oredi tipped my tuk tuk son many times liao..till he scared and always tell me in hokkien: " XXX , pls dun give me too much liao...i paisei. and i need to upgrade my service to you!" kekekeke
but now whatever i gave him he will be happy... he has since become my good fren!

Actually to each their own. Those who can afford to give and willing to give more for tips, we also cannot say much because these extra money to them could be nothing compared to the amount they earned.
Just like in the past had some Indo friends who loved to visit the dancer clubs in BKK. 1 time they can buy 10 lady drinks for 1 dancer, ask her to drink finish 1 person and then they will tip her 1000baht. The 10 lady drinks already cost 3000baht. Then 1 hr later, they will buy again for the same dancer. Finish 10drinks and tip her 1000baht. Ever seen 1 night where my friend bought 30 drinks for 1 girl, tip her 3K total and you see him spend 12K baht on 1 girl without even asking her to go back hotel room. Even have dancers wrote their hp numbers onto a slip of paper and pass to my friend. But when he see the paper, he threw it away when the girl not looking. End of the day when they pay the money they shiok, we also not in a position to say whether it is worth it or not as probably every month they earning how many Ks we also dun noe. SC
