I wouldn't say I have chiong-ed a lot. But have had my fair share in BKK.

After COVID, i was there about 5-7 days a month, every month for a good 1-2 years. Alternate between Space Plus & Top One, and usually 2nd round at M Club. Every night dabao.

Heard of Paikanyai and went over, that time they still at old place. Like a bro mentioned earlier, see Paikanyai as a place to chill and have girls talk, play and serve you. Nothing more really. Unless you are there very often, can play the long game. Than got chance can dabao. Most of the girls I know there got fan. So, you get the point.

Been to the new place last year, not bad, girls not as many as before, but place much nicer. Still same modus operandi.

I was just adding on the fact that local joints like Paikanyai or most around Town in Town, will not be fun for anyone looking to tarbao and coming just 2-3 times per year. Just to chill, feel the local vibes and ambience for a few hours is alright. They watched the social media about such places and most have the wrong sort of expectations.

Must agree that Paikanyai's not really built for tourist but for longer stayers or people who regularly visit BKK, especially if you have some level of command of Thai.

In my opinion, it's really not about sealing the deal (there are way more cost effective venues for that) but getting entertained by a pretty PR. Egos are stroked way more then lil brothers in such joints. The ROI doesn't make sense if all you want to do is get in someone's pants but the experience drinking with a group of good bros surrounded by girls who's job is to make sure you have a good and fun time is a form of enjoyment in itself.

It's really one of those things that you either love or hate, different strokes for different folks and all that.

But honestly if you decide to check the place out with a group of friends the most important thing to keep in mind is that this is a group sport. I've been to PKY with different groups of friends previously and must say the experience differs greatly depending on who you go with. It's a lot of fun when everyone has common understanding of what to expect and what to do, but if you have some black sheep in your group then it sucks.

The common understanding at PKY is that if you buy a tray of LD (10 shots @ 1200b) the PR is supposed to sit with you for an hour. Also that if you buy up to 5 trays the PR is suppose to sit with you for the whole night (a PR at PKY told me this in person). However this doesn't stop the PR from asking you for more or at a faster pace. Obviously the MMS or Manager wouldn't stop anyone from earning more money if you agree as well. So the most important thing is to be aware and learn to politely decline if the requests are too often or overreaching. Imagine someone easily buys an additional waterfall for his PR, obviously the other PRs are scrambling to ask for 1 for themselves as well. If the first-to-act guy's girl has been very enthusiastic and this is a reward for exemplary behavior everyone else can use this to encourage their PR, but if there's no reason behind it and it's just mainly to show off then you're just spoiling everyone's fun for the night.

I posted a short review on Paikanyai recently...
but here's a more in-depth, unbiased review of the experience there and what you can expect as a first timer

1. Paikanyai is fairly beginner-friendly in terms of the cheong scene.
It's not too heavy on the wallet - the girls are 1200 baht/hr, and the drinks are inexpensive compared to clubs and gclubs etc.
Karaoke Room rate is also reasonable, starting at 2.5k baht for the entire night (also recently renovated!)

2. Girls are mostly able speak decent english / chinese, and there are at least 100 girls working every night
On Fri/Sat, there can be up to 200 girls working.
GFE is quite high - hugging, kissing, etc is largely acceptable for most of them
Some light touching (under the shirt/skirt etc) is possible in the vip rooms.

3. Don't expect to dabao, at all. Even if the girl 'promises' you she'll go back to your hotel
Chances are she will probably ghost you after the place closes or give you some bs excuse like she's not feeling well or drunk
If you really want to try to dabao the girl, offer cash instead of signing the paper for 'drinks'!
Tell the girl to follow you back and you will pass her cash and she can buy the 'drinks' herself lol. Then you will know for sure whether she'll really follow you back or not.

4. TRACK the timing! 1200 baht per hour for the girls, but many of them will secretly try to get you to sign the next slip about 10 - 15 minutes early.
In retrospect, i've encountered several girls who forget to let me sign at the 1-hour mark (throughout the night) and i end up paying 4.8k baht for almost 5 hours of their time (i did tip afterwards because i don't want to be 'that' kind of customer)

5. There are live shows from time to time - from livebands, to girls boxing in bikinis, or jumping over obstacles in school uniforms (with super short skirts).
Makes it interesting to go have a look, even if you don't choose any girl to accompany you for the night (it's not mandatory to choose a girl!)

6. Its OK to go alone, but its better with friends!

7. If after reading all this, you're thinking to yourself 'Then whats the point of going?'... then you're probably the kind that will never step foot into a siamdiu in sg, or understand why guys will even bother going there for 'entertainment' - just accept that everyone's idea of enjoyment is different, and that there are different establishments catering to all kinds of tastes.


TLR - Paikanyai is a place to hangout and chill in the company of fairly young and pretty ladies.
Go there with the same expectations as you would a siamdiu in sg and you'll likely have a good time.
If you go in expecting to end the night with some sexytime... then Paikanyai is definitely the wrong place.

Girls are 1.2k per hour rate. Most can speak English, some of them worked in JB before so they can speak some Chinese. Especially when you play dice and they enjoy "劈" your call. Just go drink, get some company, enjoy the vibes and fun.

The current Paikanyai is more tourist and foreigner friendly now, the previous one was really catering to the locals. Mainly aircon, though not cooling enough for me. Drinking Regency is more comforting to the pockets.

Recently went here.

Its 1200baht per hour. Normal weekdays there is about 80 girls. Weekends can be up to 150 girls. Its an open air concept with fans, so those who are hot easily will feel quite hot in there. There is one large ac area towards the back. Ktv rooms are extra and require 2.5k for the whole night.

Lady drinks are every hour. Here what is good, after one hour if you dont like the girl, no need to extend and just change the girl without paying any starting charge like for other places.

Drinks here are cheap like 1k for a bottle of small regency and 2.5k for a jw gold. Mixers are extra charges but it isnt alot unlike the clubs in the city which are like 100baht for a bottle of water.

Girls generally are fun to drink with, play the usual drinking games. Girl quality quite high in comparison to other ktv local joints. Many can speak eng or chinese.

Action, if your looking for hanky panky then these places arent for you. Better going off to soi thanya or similar joints like penthouse where have ktv room and bedroom next door.

These places are more if drinking with guys but dont want action and need girl companion to drink with.

Expect to drop around min 7k baht for the night (pending what you drink and how long stay)

Can I check if its 1200 baht for every hour? Cos some clubs charge 2500 baht for 1st hour and 250 baht for subsequent hours.

yes. 1200 baht for every hour. it is charged by one hour block. you can just ask the girl to sit for one hour first and then if you don't extend, they will happily go away and you will just be charged 1200 baht (excluding your beer and food if any)

Here to share recent experiences here. its my first time there. Still 1.2k per hour, lady get 10 drinks and stay with u for an hour.
