In Singapore, these types of services are classified under VAS - Value Added Services. In other words, have to pay. Your phone probably have options to turn it off but it will also say it's Network Dependant. In other words, PAY!

No other way about it here.

Same reason as why some uses a aeroplane sim card. May not want FLs knowing their number so that won't get nuisance calls.

just tell the party whom u will be calling to unsubscribe caller ID so tat cant see ur number ...
